My old computer speakers were so soft, it was like not having speakers at all. I decided it was time for new ones. I picked these Logitech speakers because they were a good price.
I'm very happy with what I received. The speakers are more attractive than they look online. Very sleek. And the sound is crisp and clear, no static, very full and bold. The volume can be loud, so much so I have to turn it down. There is a manual volume knob on one speaker and of course it can be controlled via the computer. These speakers have to be plugged into an outlet, unlike my old speakers, but that's probably why they work so much better.
The price can't be beat. I'm surprised I can get this quality for what I paid. I highly recommend these speakers for the average computer user.

If you need a decent set of desktop speakers, these are the ones to get. I actually have them connected to my PS2 in the living room and they do an excellent job at getting the whole room full of sound with my projector. I get to play Final Fantasy X on a 100" screen on the wall with these speakers. They sound excellent, no distortion, decent bass, and great clarity in the mids/highs. For the price these are very very good speakers as the other reviews point out. I usually read various reviews on Amazon on items, and they are pretty accurate. Especially with speakers, take all the 4/5 stars these speakers get and pick them up. For the price, you can't find anything better. I have a set of Hercules speakers which are in the same price range, but I like these Logitech's more. They are really really small as well which is great too. I wish I had known about these before I got my Hercules and I would have gotten them.Digital camera Review: Amazing value. Get it today!

I was looking for some computer speakers for my mac mini. These speakers are an excellent value! Great sound and very convenient.
Why I bought it:
- plug into the wall w/o a power adapter / "brick"
- has headset plug next to volume control -- super convenient if I ever need to switch to a headset, (no need to fumble in back of my computer)
- great sound for use in my room
- amazing price -- $12! insane
What this isnt:
This isn't a home theatre / wall-shaking bass sound system. I don't know why people complain of "not enough bass" from these $12 speakers. Simple solution: get a different set of speakers, these little guys are not to make your room vibrate. I personally don't like computer speakers w/ separate subwoofers. If I really need good sound (with truly deep bass) I'll just plug my computer in to my home theatre system and $1000 speakers, not into computer speakers. So, do yourself a favor and ignore people's reviews on how the bass is bad on these speakers. Classical music sounds excellent, electronic/dance sounds pretty good, rap/hip-hop sounds ok. (probably has to do w/ how the richness of the sound varies between these genres).
Bottom line: this is a no-brainer decision: get the speakers if you envision using them for normal use... if you plan to throw a house party, face it, $12 speakers aren't going to get you there.

If you are short on money, these speakers will work well for you. They are, of course, easy to install, sleek and look well on your desktop. The sound quality is not the best, however. Not impressive but the volume is good and can be adjusted to very loud if you happen to be wanting to listen to something at a distance. Overall, good for the money.
