Digital camera Review: A Better Than Average Wireless Music Experience.

I bought the Squeezebox Touch based on numerous professional reviews and many of the user reviews I'd read. I have had it for about 5 months now, and although there are a few things I dislike about Logitech's approach to the user interface design and the lack of an actual user manual, there are many features I do like. Most important though, I am extremely happy with the sound quality. I have used both the Squeezebox's internal D/A processing and have connected it to an external D/A converter for substantial lengths of time and have found that the external D/A processing provides a fuller, more dynamic, and warmer analogue sound, but I recommend you try both before settling on one. I have all of my music stored on a computer hard drive and the Squeezebox wirelessly extracts everything without any problems. I find that the sound is better than any CD player that I've had, plus I have the added benefit of accessing music faster than playing a CD and I can do more with the music, like playing through my collection using a random shuffle mix that acts as a jukebox, which is my favorite feature that I use almost every day. It brings a freshness to the songs I may have grown tired of hearing previously, and I find that I enjoy those songs more when heard out of context from the album it came from. Pandora and Internet Radio also work well and sound good enough, though with internet radio the quality depends on the station feed. It's great to hear stations from other countries and other parts of the U.S. though. There's lots to be found, that's for sure.
Though it has its drawbacks, (what electronic device doesn't?), I find that the pros outweigh the cons with the Squeezebox Touch. I do recommend that you have a bit of experience with electronics and computers if you want to use the device without pulling all of your hair out. It is definitely worth the money and I have no regrets, especially since my universal blu-ray player that I was using to play CD's with went kaput just the other day. Try it out for sure!
