Digital camera reviews of Logitech Trackman Wheel Optical (Silver)Digital camera Review: Awesome! Summary: 5 Stars
Well I've had this mouse for a few months now and used it countless hours. I must say that I've had no issues with the trackball, it's precise and tracks very well and the mouse is also very comfortable.
I highly recommend the Trackman Wheel mouse. The only thing that was difficult was training myself to roll a ball with my thumb instead of using my arms. It only took me a few hours to learn how to use it somewhat effectively but it took a few weeks before it felt natural to use. Your learning experience may differ though.
Digital camera Review: Awesome, Accurate, and fast Summary: 4 Stars
I've been a big fan of the trackball for years and have tried many different brands...
Best perfomance goes to Logitech (even previous versions of this model).
However, unlike the previous model, this one is small in comparison and I have large hands....my wife LOVES it though.
Drivers were somewhat easy to install, though it's a good idea to remove any other mice/trackball drivers first due to conflicts.
Overall...excellent product.
Digital camera Review: Awesome, only the BEST! Summary: 5 Stars
At first it took a few days to get used too, especially for playing video games. Now I use it better then a mouse and it my wrist don't hurt, this is a great product. I highly recommend it, Amazon has it for a good price but i think its more worth $20 than $30.
Digital camera Review: BUY this mouse Summary: 5 Stars
- The Logitech TrackMan trackball mice are well designed for ergonomic comfort and functionality, are precise and easy to use.
- The Logitech TrackMan may take some getting used to for those who have never used a trackball mouse before. Stick with it through the adjustment period and you will likely grow to love it.
- The Logitech TrackMan may help reduce wrist and arm pain that some people experience from daily use of "regular" mice, since the trackball design stabilizes the hand. I bought a TrackMan for my mom for this reason. Since she started using it a few months ago, her nagging wrist and elbow pain has disappeared.
In case you are debating between the cordless and corded TrackMan versions, here's a little more info about the cordless version:
- When the batteries run down on the cordless TrackMan, the mouse stops working with little to no notice.
- The cordless Trackman seems to prone to breakage for no apparent reason. I went through three (3) of them, each of which abruptly stopped working within three (3) months of purchase. I finally switched to the corded version (Logitech Trackman Wheel Optical), which has actually held up well for me so far. Its design is exactly the same as the cordless version, and it's about half the price. Mom is still happy with hers, too.
Happy comparing!
Digital camera Review: Back on Track Summary: 5 Stars
First let me say that I'm an unabashed Logitech fan. I have seven of their products in my house and everyone of them has given years of faithful, trouble free service.
As for this trackball product, it hasn't failed to live up to my expectations. This is the first trackball I've used since around 2000; I wonder what took me so long.
The Trackman Wheel Optical fits my hand perfectly but doesn't take up too much room on the desk. The ball is fluid and the resistance is just right. The wheel does its job. The enclosure feels solid. The pointer accuracy is spot on (I have no problems playing Far Cry). And, it works with Linux.
Yes, you can't use it left handed but I'm a righty so no big deal. Some have complained about the way the unit feels in their hand. There is some truth to those statements as everyone's hand is not the same and there will be those who just won't be able to get a comfortable grip on this unit. If you think you may be in that small group, give it a try at a friend's house or Best Buy first.
So if you're in the market for a trackball, give this unit a try. You won't be disappointed.
