Digital camera reviews of Logitech Trackman Wheel Optical (Silver)Digital camera Review: A must for laptop Summary: 5 Stars
If you prefer use your laptop on your lap while sitting on the couch, this mouse is a must have. It is smooth, responsive, quick, and precise. I use it for both my Dell and Powerbook G4. Plug-N-play, no driver installation needed. I love my G4, but hated Apple one button mouse. Highly recommended.
Digital camera Review: A nice upgrade Summary: 5 Stars
A good replacement for my old trackball. No cleaning required like on the old one. It also fits in my hand better and is easily customized for each user from the software shortcut on the desktop, no more need to use mouse properties on XP.
Digital camera Review: A solid and reliable wrist-saver Summary: 5 Stars
I. Love. My. TrackMan.
It's reliable. It's durable. It's accurate. It's easy to clean. It's cheap. It prevents wrist irritation.
I still own and use the PS/2 version I bought in 1999. A USB version is plugged into my Mac Mini right now. The only reason I'm buying a new one is that I killed the scroll wheel on this one. I forgot to "clear" myself on the light switch before sitting down and my computer. A static-caused spark jumped from my hand to the scroll wheel and left it fried (dry winter in Nebraska == lots of static electricity). The rest of the mouse works though! I'll gladly give Logitech another $25 for one of these. Perhaps I should buy two in case Logitech stops producing them.
Digital camera Review: A total design failure Summary: 1 Stars
The ergonomics of this trackball are just plain awful. The design fails to accommodate left handed users and the Kensington Orbit Trackball with Scroll Ring is far superior. A trackball is for ease of usage and should be centrally placed for a good reason, Logitech has a total dud here. I gave them feedback, but no response, of course.
Buy a decent trackball rather than this joke, please, the earlier Marble Mouse from Logitech is far superior, but Kensington easily beats it.
Digital camera Review: A well-built productivity-booster Summary: 5 Stars
For the way I work, a trackball works best. I've been through a bunch of them through the years (about 18). Kensington, Microsoft and other brands. Sometimes the buttons would break within a few weeks or they would develop other problems. Until I bought the Logitech Trackman Wheel. Not only is it the most comfortable trackball I've come across, it's also the most durable. After almost 4 years of daily use (and I work some very long days) it still functions like new. I thought I'd finally broken a button yesterday - nope, just a food particle that got in there somehow. The unit is easy to clean and the software works great on my mac. With three programable buttons (including the one on the scroll wheel) you can fly through your programs and boost your productivity.
