Digital camera reviews of Logitech Trackman Wheel Optical (Silver)Digital camera Review: Almost perfect Summary: 4 Stars
I've been using these for years and they last forever if cleaned regularly. (To clean it, just remove the ball and clean with something pointy like a pen around the 3 little ball bearings that suspend it).
They work great. No mousepad. No wires getting tangled up (since you don't move it around like a mouse) and no wireless problems (batteries, interference, etc). It is an awesome value on top of that.
The only issue I have with it is the lack of buttons. This could really use some more buttons. 2 buttons hasn't been the standard for about 15 years now. I would pay more for an extra 3 buttons. It would be 5 stars then.
Digital camera Review: Always on Track... Summary: 5 Stars
My first pointing device was the original Logitech TrackMan--a product that still serves me well on a VERY OLD computer in my home. To this day, I still hate the "traditional" mouse pointing device, and all of our home computers are equipped with at least one Logitech TrackMan device. As has been mentioned by another individual, I do prefer the previous incarnations of the TrackMan Marble Wheel (M/N: T-CH11, P/N: 804122-3000 and M/N: T-BB13, P/N: 804335-0000) pointing devices; however, there isn't anything that makes this particular model (M/N: T-BB18, P/N: 804360-0000) inferior to the quality products normally sold by Logitech. My preference is merely a matter of style and color. Software/driver (MouseWare) support for win-whatever platforms is excellent, and the device is solidly supported under recent and contemporary iterations of Linux distros--across the board. Personally, I don't care for the WebWheel software component (for win platforms) at all, but it can be removed if you so desire. The device is wired for USB interface, but comes with a USB to PS/2 adapter. This allows one to use two pointing devices on the same computer; one with minimum sensitivity and acceleration characteristics--perfect for precision graphics editing--and one with "normal" sensitivity and acceleration characteristics--more appropriate for text editing and pushing icons around in a GUI environment. The convenience is worth more than the purchase price of two TrackMan Wheel devices. All in all, this is a solid and value-priced product, built for years of service. No computer should be without one.
Digital camera Review: Amazing mouse but needs more features Summary: 5 Stars
I love this mouse, I hate track-pads and regular mice but trackballs are the best. Its the most comfortable and easiest to use once you get used to it (although many people will tell you differently). The only thing I would change is for this one to have more features, such as volume control (i downloaded an application that turns the wheel into volume control), left to right scrolling, to name a few.
Digital camera Review: Amazon Price is better than what the stores offers Summary: 5 Stars
I first saw a similar computer mouse like this from one of my customer, I was impress by how she was able to get around the laptop without moving the mouse. I asked her what type of mouse is that? She said that is an Ergonomics mouse. The only different was her wheel/ball was in the middle. I have a niece who's on the computer all the time and was complaining about wrist and finger pain I suggested that she should purchase one. While I was visiting her in ATL, I saw one in Best Buy and Office max, they were quite expensive. I am always purchasing things from Amazon, so I search and found the same product cheaper on Amazon plus I like to review the feed back that Amazon customers give. I was pleased with the feed back. I purchase one for my Niece and one for Myself. Once my niece received it she plug it up right away and she liked the way it feel. A week went by and I asked her how is the mouse working? she reply that the pain has eased a great deal in her wrist and fingers and she is loving it. Well, for me I love it too. I was at my brother house who has a mouse connected to his laptop and it was funny seeing him roll the mouse around and around to get it to connect. This review is true, I do not work for Logitech, I am a honest paying customer who is satisfy.
Here's a tips whenever you want to purchase a product read all the reviews ffom 5 stars to 1 stars and use your own judgement based on what you read and how satisfy you are of the reviews.
Digital camera Review: An Outstanding Mouse Summary: 5 Stars
Silky smooth trackball and scrollwheel, a real pleasure to use. Ergonomically, this mouse is very well designed; one's hand rests comfortably and naturally on it. I use this mouse for many hours each day and have never had a problem with my thumb.....true, some folks may experience some thumb discomfort after heavy use, but everyone's different, right? There's no one mouse that's perfect for everyone.
The previous reviewer's claim that the four screws on the bottom of the mouse need to be removed for cleaning of the trackball and cradle are untrue. One merely pulls the trackball out of it's cradle and then wipes the ball and cradle with a cloth.....a very easy procedure.
This is, definitely, one of my very favorite mice.
