Digital camera reviews of Logitech USB Desktop Microphone (Black/Silver)Digital camera Review: Better than it looks Summary: 5 Stars
This microphone is perfect for Skype, Ventrilo, or any kind of voice recording. It requires only two steps to use- plug in, and turn on. It is durable, and has in fact survived many long plane flights shoves into my back pack, and has worked without fail for four years now. The sound quality is great, especially for something so small and inexpensive, though if you're looking to record music or multiple voices there are better options. Even if you're just skyping with your friends, though, it's a vast improvement over any laptop's internal microphone. Has an extremely long cord, if you're going to try to use it with a desktop computer.
Digital camera Review: Calls to Germany over Skype and killin' zombies. Summary: 5 Stars
I recently bought a good pair of headphones for music and games, but missed the microphone of my old headset. I settled on a desktop microphone, and I'm impressed with this one's quality. I've used it for chatting over Skype and nobody has had trouble hearing me or complained about an echo from my speakers getting picked up. I've even used it as a make shift baby monitor when coupled with my phone. It picks up the entire room in the direction it's pointed. I also use it without trouble to voice chat over Steam while I play games online. I haven't had any problems with people being unable to hear me clearly.
I generally keep it from 1-2 feet from my face, and it's been perfectly compatible and easy to set up in Windows 7 64bit.
Digital camera Review: Can't beat the price Summary: 5 Stars
It looks as good as it performs. We highly recommend it and you'll be pleased by the price.
Digital camera Review: Can't get past the flaws Summary: 2 Stars
It's cheap, all right, but first, it records in only 60 second snippets. What good is that? Totally useless. Then, I can't change the saved files' properties to give them an author or other information than name.
Digital camera Review: Cheap and Awesome Microphone for Voice Actors/Singers! Summary: 5 Stars
I am a part time voice actor and I have to say that this is one of the greatest and cheapest microphones ever. My voice is very clear. It is also easy to set up. You literally just plug it in. However, your computer needs to have a USB port (It has this pitchfork shaped icon that has a square on one prong, a triangle on another, and a circle on the third.) Just so you should know, I have a Compaq laptop and I read somewhere that most new computers have USB ports. A word of warning, however. I live in a dorm, and when I voice act and someone walks pass my room and speaks very loudly, I can faintly hear their voice. Other than that, this is a FANTASTIC buy and a must have for aspiring voice actors and singers.
