Digital camera reviews of Logitech V20 Notebook Speakers (Black)

Digital camera Review: A Great Buy!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

At first I was a bit loath to spend a lot of money on speakers for my laptop, but these speakers are totally worth every penny! First off, the speakers are small and you get a small packing case to put them in when you travel or whatever. But despite their size, they really kick out the sound, the sound quality was really impressive. The bass started making the speakers rattle around a little, so I have something to weight them down, but they're great for rocking some tunes or watching a movie!! A great buy in my opinion!

Digital camera Review: A Pleasant Surprise!
Summary: 4 Stars

The speakers provide very clear and ear-pleasing sound, with the controls on the right speaker serving as a virtual remote control for windows Media Player. I knocked off one star for the very short cord between the notebook and speaker. I suppose I could use a USB extension.

I originally bought them so I could hear the GPS voice more clearly in the car. They certainly accomplish that! But they are equally effective at reproducing music. (My music collection of 300+ CD's is on my notebook.)

I've congratulated myself for buying them.

Digital camera Review: A blast of sound next to mediocre laptop speakers
Summary: 5 Stars

Hey guys,
I bought this for 20 bucks from a The Fourge ...
I think it's a online reseller or whatever but,
about the speakers . .

for 20 bucks i am extreeeemely happy,
I was scared at first for spending anyting on speakers that didn't have at least a subwoofer and at least 50+ watts.
But hear me, these are very loud, I've seen some vids that seemed to shake on full volume, mine haven't done so . .
which also made me worried, but maybe I'm luckly?

The sound quality is very true . . . it's give a 8/10 for lows and 9/10 for trebble.
They are also very easy to carry around, specially with the sweet case that comes with it ...
well, for someone to pay over $40 , this case is a must in my opinion.

Only complain is . . even though they posses buttons to control sound, mute, and media options like play, pause, etc,
you have to press them kind hard to work, which i wonder why those were made this way . . . but it's not a major flaw,
afterall , it works !

This is my first product review, hope u all like it.
I am very satisfied for this with the $20 used item price tag it came flawless ...
but ... paying over $40, i'm not quite sure I would buy it without trying others b4.

Digital camera Review: A great deal
Summary: 5 Stars

I'm not sure what all the fuss is all about. If you're going to pay princely sum of $50 or so for a set of laptop speakers they're not going to thrill you like a set of B&W 801s hooked up to a Krell amplifier, but then you're paying about $800 less for a set of these Logitech beauties, and I'm not aware any laptops that reproduce sound like Krell. For the money, they make remarkably good sound. They are clear and crisp without excessive or muddy bass. Set up is a snap, and the case is pretty cool too.

Digital camera Review: A great little speaker; works with GNU/Linux
Summary: 5 Stars

I'm not an audiophile, so I can't comment on the sound quality, other than that it sounds as good as, or better than, my Sennheiser CX300-B.

Since this is a USB speaker, I was initially worried about getting it to work with Debian GNU/Linux, but it worked without much trouble (You probably need to use ALSA with this one, and some editing of .asoundrc to choose this speaker rather than the default one may be necessary---I hear Ubuntu does all this automatically, or through some graphical tool, though).

There is this little odd problem where the speaker isn't recognized by GNU/Linux the first time it is plugged into USB, but pulling it out and plugging it back in quickly seems to fix it (oh, and I have to go through this routine any time the speaker has been unplugged for a while).
