I have had the logitech v450 cordless mouse for over a month now, and it simply could not be easier to use. I simply plug in the usb dongly thing into the port and away we go. I've used it on two differnet mac laptops and one dell machine and it works fine on both, did not download any software. The only potential drawback for someone who travels and wants to keep the dongly thing in the port is that it sticks out a bit and might not fit in a carrying case. You can get a really sleek one that barely sticks out at all, but this was a non issue for me.Digital camera Review: Ergonomics stand out

I use both a key pad laptop and a table top mouse. When it became apparent that my key pad talent was limited, and complicated by going back and forth, I opted for a common denominator mouse, small for easy portability. Based on superior, past experiences with Logitech products, I tried out the V450 Cordless Laser mouse. How sweet it is, especially the comfortable, simple ergonomics. After 3 weeks, I can say you need look no further. After reading all the reviews and going through all the laptop mice in amazon, I decided for this one... and I don't regret my choice: this mouse is great!
Like other reviewers said, the desing is perfect, the battery compartment is ingenious...not one of those press and pull things that always breaks..the mouse has a good size and weight...not to small but very portable, and the dongle disappears inside the mouse for safe keeping (and also turning off the mouse).
I had a previously bad experience with optical mice using a Genius NetScroll+ Traveler, wich only worked on a uniform unicolor surface, any change of color on the surface would make the cursor jump all over my screen. But Logitech's V450 works great on anything, my desk, my mousepad, my jean, the palm of my hand...anything!
The scroll wheel is smooth and it clicks, like all wheels should, so you have great control over the lines you scroll.
I work with a wireless network at home using a LinkSys WRT54G Router, and I haven't run into any troubble at all. And the mouse can work at more than 6 meters of distance from the pc!!
I wish it came with a little pouch like the one in the pictures...but I'm sure I'll find one.
But for everything else it gets 5 stars...

This product works well for me, I had my doubts about this and been that is was so cheap I didnt think it would work well. To my surprise my mouse works excellent. and i just pop the usb port in and away it went...and i can be feets away and it still works. I love the Logitec V450 Cordless Laser Mouse. I use it with my lap top. It glides right over the mouse pad with ease. Its response is really fast. I would recommend that if, you have not tried this mouse that you do so. I have recommended it to my daughters.
