Digital camera Review: Beware the Software for Mac
Summary: 2 Stars

The version of Logitech Control Center that shipped with my mouse is 2.2.2. It is useless on my MacBook - I cannot adjust any of the settings in the preferences pane of LCC. Do a web search for Logitech Control Center and you will find many on Mac enthusiast sites that have complained about the software causing minor inconveniences all the way up to major kernel panics. I have upgraded to LCC 2.3.1, even though the Logitech support website misleadingly suggests that the version on the CD that shipped with the mouse is the most current available. So far, it looks like I can change the settings as I should have been able to do originally. I'll be sending it back if I have the first kernel panic as a result of this software - knock on wood.

Digital camera Review: Blue Logitech V470Bluetooth Laser Cordless MOuse
Summary: 5 Stars

This was a gift for a friend I was updating to modern times when he opened his new business. I have a wireless mouse and love it, but I wanted to get a wireless desktop set (mouse+keyboard on one usb receiver) but the styles available are all basic looking and boring! So I opted for a wireless keyboard and to minimize the usb port usage a bluetooth mouse. I was extremely hesitant bc although the mouse looks cool I wanted it to work too! (He is traditional and it would be the one and only impression with cordless technology!) Bluetooth tech is rumored to be quirky with mice, but not this mouse. He is happy with it and (so far) it acts like his old regular cord mouse did. The one thing that surprised me is that it's a much darker blue than in the image unfortunately. But still now his mouse looks as cool as the shiny electric guitars hanging on the walls of his music business. Stylish convenient and modern- it certainly gives the right message to his customers at checkout!

Digital camera Review: Blue happy
Summary: 5 Stars

Bought this for my new Win 7, 64bit Dell Studio lap top w/ Bluetooth technology. Loved the idea of using one less port as you would have to for a standard wireless. This has the come-to-expect, great Logitech design, easy install directions. It has an on-off switch to save battery life. A very clear marking for the two AA battery install (for those of us battery-install challenged :-) ) and a bright LED that turns RED when you need to replace the batteries. Also comes with a small travel pouch which keeps it from getting too scratched up when packing up your lap top.

I trust the longevity and Reliability of this product will be excellent and "5 star"...based on my history of using Logitech products, but since I just got it, I'm holding off on those. But I have a lot of trust in Logitech and always recommend their products.

The one thing Win 7 users MUST know is you MUST download the updated version of drivers from Logitech. What occurs when you run the Logitech disc is Windows kicks up a NON compatibility screen; if you allow Windows to check issue, it indicates you must go to Logitech...however, the link was inoperable. I went to Logitech directly. Look up the item "V470"; Here's the link:

[...]

Choose your operating system (Win 7) and 32 or 64 bit. Then scroll to bottom of page and click the Download button.

ODD NOTE: even though I got the compatibility issue window, WHEN I CHOSE to cancel vs. continue, THEN using only the disc, the mouse showed as fully installed and it DID work. STILL, download the new driver to be sure.
Hope this wasn't too confusing. It is a great product.

My Logitech blue-tooth mouse, was easy to set-up and works a treat. Smooth action and spot-on positioning. Well worth the money.

Digital camera Review: Bluetooth Cordless Laser Mouse
Summary: 5 Stars

Logitech V470 Bluetooth Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks - Blue I love this mouse. I put the batteries in, turned it on, and I was ready to go. The on/off switch is great for extending battery life. Absolutely the only thing I am a little unhappy with is the size. Other reviewers had mentioned the small size, but I have very small hands and didn't see this as a potential problem. I do find my hand cramping up occasionally and am experimenting with different ways of holding it. The use of a mouse is new for me, so I might find the same problem with larger units, as well. Oops, forgot the battery cover. I spend 5 minutes getting it off! Obviously I haven't quite figured out the secret for that. I would still buy the mouse, in a heartbeat.
