I personally like the smaller size of the VX Revolution over the HUGE MX Revolution mouse, as I normally hold the mouse with my finger tips and use a wrist-rest, rather than whole-palming the mouse. I do a lot of very delicate photoshop retouching, and this mouse works great. It has enough programmable buttons to customize it easily and you can set the tracking and sensitivity very precisely. I liked it so much I bought a second one for home. One AA battery has lasted months so far, so I actually like not having a dedicated charger for it like the MX.
WARNING: On a Mac (with Tiger), the Logitech software causes kernel panics and would totally lock my system after sitting for a few minutes, and had to buy the $20 Steermouse to get it to not do that. It will do basic movement and right and left click without any additional drivers, but for full programability, you'll need either the Logitech Driver or Steermouse (3.7 or above).
The ergonomics, functionality, and scroll wheel are awesome, however. Too bad Logitech is too slow with the updates, otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

Straight to the point..
1.Insert the battery and the USB port and you are already loving your mouse.
2. Does not interfere with laptop's touchpad (HP in my case)
3. Install the software if you need to use all the buttons.
4. Installation was easy and again does not interfere with the settings of the touchpad.
5. Once installed you can do all the good stuff..(check site for details). One of my main reasons for getting this mouse was to use the Flip 3D function of Vista. The mouse does it very well. You can configure any button on the mouse to do any function, including the 3D thing.
6. Ability to custom assign any keyboard combination.
7. Good to hold..yada yada yada...
8. "Almost" because I think the Zoom buttons could have been smoother...

Great mouse for the price. I have smaller hands and it fits like a charm.
One problem is the middle click. I use the wheel-click feature on my other mouses a lot, but the wheel on this mouse is very tough, it takes a lot more strength to click, also you might start sidescrolling if you do it wrong. A little getting used to but overall, a very well designed product.

This mouse is nothing short of amazing. It not only looks great, but it feels great to use and has the perfect amount of features to work with. I have a mac and sadly the software that comes with the mouse is not really intended to work well with macs. Fortunately there is a program called "Steermouse" which takes care of everything and makes the mouse fully customizable. The only problem i would have with the mouse is that it is not a bluetooth mouse. It does use laser tech. and it works great on all surfaces but considering i only have 2 usb ports, it can be a bit inconvenient to use the mouse. Other than that i have no complaints. Its rare that I find something so comfortable. Being that I have big hands I didn't think I would like this mouse either. However the height at the peak of the profile of the mouse makes it very comfortable for me to use and the overall shape is attractive. There are rubber grips on the sides of the mouse. There are also very conveniently located shortcut keys...back and forward, zoom, and search.
The hyper-fast scroll wheel is amazing. I don't think I could ever go back to using a regular wheel. It makes spreadsheets and websites really easy to navigate through. My only gripe...the switch to go from hyper-fast mode to regular mode is on the bottom of the mouse. Thus, you have to pick it up and turn it over to toggle back and forth. I wish this was somehow activated on the top and not on the bottom of the mouse. If it wasn't for the inconveniently located switch, this would be a 5-star mouse for me.
