I bought these EIGHT years ago, and they are still working as well as the day I bought them. Booming base, nice simple remote, and have not had a SINGLE problem since the day i got them in 2002. Best speakers you can get for the dollar, and you shouldn't have to replace them for years to come.
Only negative thing is the bass is almost too booming. I keep it 1 notch from off and it's perfect, but all you hear is bass even if it's only halfway up.

I bought these when I bought a HDTV and I think I enjoy them more than the TV! The bass and overall sound this system puts out is amazing. Watching DVDs with this 5.1 setup is like an entirely new experience. The first movie I watched was the first Lord of the Rings and it blew me away. Buy these, you won't regret it.

"Wow" is all I have to say. If you're connecting these bad-boys with an optical input, they will blow your mind. I'm going back and watching most of my DVDs again simply to hear them in 5.1. Let me start off by saying these speakers are heavy.
After that, they are the most amazing speakers I have heard that didn't cost as much for one as it did for this whole system. There ARE better sounding systems out there...they just cost 3 or more times as much.
By the way, these speakers are heavy...
The hardware decoder is a great feature. It means you can run a dvd player into it and get full dolby or DTS 5.1. The analog in means you can hook in your pro audio decoder or computer sound card. This system has full pro logic II capabilities which is great for watching tv. Just set it to PLII Movie. Most tv shows are encoded with pro logic, and if they're not it does a great job of making good surround sound.
All in all a great system, just make sure you have a cart or two people when you move it. Cause its HEAVY.

I upgraded from Logitech z80 speakers based upon the reviews. Took me awhile to justify a $400 speaker set for the computer. Now I wish I had bought these earlier. The sound is simply incredible. Now my computer is the best place in the house to watch movies or listen to music. If you are still using cheap speakers that came with your computer you *really* need to treat yourself to one of the Z-Series speakers from Logitech. The four speakers sets are great if you have a good place to position the rear speakers behind your chair. Makes a *huge* difference with games and music.
