Digital camera reviews of Logitech diNovo Edge Keyboard (Black)

Digital camera Review: Awesome w/Bluetooth laptop
Summary: 5 Stars

I use this keyboard with my Lenovo T60 laptop, mostly docked, but sometimes I take both the keyboard and laptop to meetings, or home when I have work to do. Having the disc on the bottom right (that acts like a mouse) is perfect when I don't feel like typing on the shorter laptop keyboard and messing with the pointer or touchpad. The keystrokes are crisp and precise, and the keyboard just looks great.

Battery life is just about forever. I've had the keyboard for a month, and haven't recharched it yet. (Again, I probably use it half of the time I use the laptop at work, since the keyboard usually stays on my desk). When fully charged, the Logitech software showed 60 days worth of charge - wish I could get that from my laptop!

The laptop is in and out of the dock several times each day, and the keyboard has not lost pairing yet.

I'd recommend this keyboard for anyone with a laptop. I'm actually thinking of getting one for my desktop machine at home also.

Digital camera Review: Awesome, almost perfect, keyboard
Summary: 5 Stars

I read all the reviews before I bought this keyboard 3 months ago. This thing is great, everything I hoped for. I haven't had any of the problems or complaints that I read about except for these two things:

(1) The connection was in and out and VERY annoying. This has a simple fix, moving the bluetooth USB thingy away from the computer (I use it on a desktop) with a short USB extension cable (mine's 2ft). Apparently, if it is too close to metal (or a computer's power supply) it has trouble. I used the extension to get it a little further from my computer and it has worked perfectly since- I use my keyboard from my couch about 12ft away.

(2) The keyboard has some fancy lights for shortcuts, volume control, etc. But the keys themselves do not light up, making typing in the dark tricky. For the price tag on this baby, and since there are already lights on the keyboard I think it's pretty weak to not light up the keys, or at least use glow-in-the-dark paint.

That's it, everything else is fantastic. I think I've charged the thing once, even though I never turn it off. I don't mind the keyboard layout- it seems normal size to me and not especially weird. Well worth the money.

Digital camera Review: Awsome Keyboard
Summary: 4 Stars

Pros: Great keyboard!! Easy to install. Very light and power lasts forever with a single charge.. It is a nice looking and stylish keyboard...Cons: Touchpad needs to ba a little more sensitive on the tapping part, or the software needs to incorporate a tap sensitivity adjustment.. other than the numbers pad is missing that I rarely use its worth every penny !!!!!!

Digital camera Review: Bad impractical keyboard
Summary: 2 Stars

An overpriced keyboad. Good looking definitely but impractical. No indicator for the caps lock. What was logitech thinking. So if you sit at the keyboard after a while there is no way to tell without typing if the caps lock is (accidentally) on.

Keystrokes do not feel all that great also.

Besides the funky scroll bar etc might be somewhat useful with proper drivers for a Windows only PC but not for a professional keyboard which serves Linux and Windows etc.

Trying to put in Mouse keys on the leyboard is a joke. One still needs the mouse actually as a proper touchpad is missing.

And who wants to keep their keyboards in a stand when not in use.

Lookswise it is very good. Functionality wise it is a dud.

Digital camera Review: Battery failure-No problem.
Summary: 4 Stars

I wanted a semi-basic keyboard (I have no use for a keypad) , wireless, with built-in mouse. I got it. I wanted elegant style. I got it plus it is balanced, solid and engineered by a magician. The edge is camfered, which makes it easy to pick up from a flat surface. Still no built-in lap heater however. Then disaster struck (failing batterys} so I ordered a cheaper keyboard to get by while the Edge was in the shop. I am very pleased with the corded Logitech Media Keyboard Elite. Now I use the Logitech MX 1000 Laser mouse from the stand beside my easy chair w/Elite on my lap. I sit this also very thin keyboard in the stand which comes with the Edge. Now the Edge was still waiting for a reply from Logitech regarding replacement. It struck me that I now have an unbeatable combo at my easy chair and the Edge for walking around the room in view of the 37" wide-screen LCD monitor. I can leave the Edge in the stand/charger, on display, till I pick it up (no name yet) and walk about. I may not even send it back for new batterys if it doesnt fail completely. In either case, it is no problem.
