Digital camera reviews of Logitech diNovo Edge Keyboard (Black)Digital camera Review: Beam me up Summary: 5 Stars
OK I'm ready for the illuminated touch-screen version! This is not an expensive keyboard if you like quality and can't afford to buy junk. If you have respect for your machine then you may feel a renewed respect after getting this keyboard.
Don't be afraid of the fancy finish, it's durable and cleans to look new easily.
Digital camera Review: Beautiful and Exquisite Wireless Keyboard Summary: 5 Stars
Unlike the previous diNovo which was plagued by it's connection problems and using batteries instead of rechargeable lithium, the Edge is Bluetooth and includes rechargeable lithium batteries. The only thing that it does not include is a number pad, which is a shame but that area is being used for the touch pad and volume control. I have to say this is simply the most eloquent keyboard you will ever own (and no I am not talking about those keyboards that includes precious metals which are not required). Besides it's looks, the keyboard is comfortable to type on, you will be amazed on how quickly you are able to type on this keyboard. Also, for those who like typing at an angle, you can raise the tabs to make it go up. There are a lot of features (otherwise this keyboard would not cost over $150) which you can configure by using the logitech software (which is included with the box). Charging the unit is a breeze since it takes a little over 2 hours to fully charge which can last for about 2 months.
Recommended for Windows XP and Vista only! Mac and older versions of Windows (2000, ME, 98) not supported, though Macs recognize it you will not be able to use all of the functions.
Digital camera Review: Beautifully designed Summary: 4 Stars
This is a very sleek, low profile keyboard. I love the customability. This linked easily to the built-in bluetooth radio in my ThinkPad. My only complaint is that much of the surface is black Plexiglas which is hard to keep clean. I guess I have to wash my hands after eating those potato chips!
Digital camera Review: Best Damn Keyboard Summary: 5 Stars
Awesome, just awesome. If you like to be the leader of advanced technology among your friends or co-workers, then buy this now. People will be so envious of you once you show them this beautifully designed piece of equipment they might try to steal it from you, so you should think about setting traps when you are not in eye shot of your diNovo. I have found a simple snare work very well.
The on-board mouse it fantastic, it just about eliminates the need for a separate mouse unit. The small yet functional pad offers all the virtual mobility of an average mouse. The slim and wireless design frees up so much desk space it is borderline insane. The charging method is a little awkward at first, the base in the picture is the charging station, but it isn't enough to detract from the overall greatness. Another downfall is the missing number-pad, so if you are a big num-lock user just suck it up and buy this and then get a separate number-pad.
Everything works very well and there is the ability to customize a bunch of the keys to fit any number of shortcuts.
Digital camera Review: Best HTPC Keyboard out there Summary: 5 Stars
I honestly can't see why lots of people are buying this keyboard for their desktop PC. Not only is there no number pad, and there's always the possibility of the batteries dying at the worst possible time, but there are keyboards out there that have much better tactile feedback while typing (not that this one's feedback is bad, just not the best - and for this price you should expect the best). And why would you want a touchpad on a desktop anyway?
Having said that, this is still a great keyboard. While I'd never use it for a regular desktop, it's one of the two best keyboards for an HTPC. Wireless keyboards that use RF just don't have the range for use in a living room, and most of them look clunky and out of place. This one, however, looks great while sitting in the charger on the coffee table, and even sitting 15 feet away from the PC there are no problems with the connection.
Now, if you don't use your HTPC for browsing the web and writing emails and stuff, then you should probably go with the DiNovo Mini - its smaller, and still provides the same functionality for Media Center. But if you want to do any good amount of typing on it, get this one.
