Digital camera reviews of Logitech diNovo Mini

Digital camera Review: Awsome Little Guy
Summary: 5 Stars

Logitech diNovo Mini is great for a multimedia pc setup.
I setup a viiv type system in the livingroom, Bought the dinovo which stays nicely put on the coffee table surrounded by costers.
When I get home from work I turn on the pc, tv and dinovo and enjoy the control and freedom this beautifully designed little gadget gives me.
I go online, watch tv, movies or listen to music.
I highly recommend it if you have a mutimedia system setup in the livingroom or even the bedroom!
The Only Gripe;
The software is a pain in the butt to tweek, but logitect is working on improvments to the software!
I give the diNovo - 6 flags!
The Software - 1 flag!

Digital camera Review: Bad quality.. Consider twice spending $100+ on this.
Summary: 1 Stars

I purchased this keyboard for HTPC use with my Mac Mini. Big mistake.

It connects fine with the Mac and I can live without some of the dedicated Apple keys.
A little bit cumbersome to enter ESC on this keyboard, requires a FN+TAB to do it. My media sw (Plex) needed this esc to navigate.
But that was manageable.

Just few months in, a row of keys stopped working and then in about 5 months from purchase the whole keyboard is dead. It charges, lights up, but is not discoverable from computers any more. Just not the build quality you would expect from a $120 dollar keyboard from Logitech.

If you are looking for a compact keyboard for your livingroom, don't let the looks fool you. Keep looking.

Digital camera Review: Beautiful!

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
The diNovo Mini is a god send for me. I have to confess I don't use it for anything other than controlling my PS3 (which is settable through a switch inside the batter compartment), but it is very convenient for that purpose.

The design is wonderful and easily fits into the palm. The lighted keys are warm and pleasant to use although I found that I could hit keys I didn't want to from time to time, but this is not a deal breaker.

The function buttons, of which there are quite a number--logical, considering the size of the diNovo, makes performing certain actions a kind of finger acrobatics, but strangely I also didn't mind it.
In short, the diNovo Mini would perform very well for users of Windows Home Theater systems and looks good enough not to look incongruous on a living room table.

Digital camera Review: Best Available Option
Summary: 4 Stars

I am a big fan of the Dinovo Mini. It is pricey, but so useful. I got fed up with Cable, so i purchased a dell studio hybrid and hooked it up to my bedroom 37" lcd. That way i could watch on my screen Hulu and bit-torrented video. (Plus I purchased a Turk HD-TVS -reviewed elsewhere). Anyway even though the Dell has built in Bluetooth i chose to use the USB stick as logitech mentions you may have better connection. I rarely if ever lose connection. The battery life is great, i go weeks without recharging and use this every night. It has great trackpad to use as a mouse. Granted it isn't as easy as using a standard mouse but it more than get the job done. It has built in Media Center capability which would work great if the Dell didn't constantly crap out when using MC. Really it works as i hoped.

The only reason its a four and not a 5 to me is price, and that mouse functionality could be improved. Otherwise a great item, highly recommended.

Digital camera Review: Best HTPC remote I have used so far.
Summary: 5 Stars

This was my third remote that I ordered to use with my HTPC, and I think I finally found one that works well. My first was the IR remote that came with my Dell Inspiron Zino HD and it had very limited functionality. The second was the Rii Portable 2.4GHz Mini Wireless Keyboard. The Rii is a great little keyboard with a track pad as long as you don't get more than about 8 feet away from your HTPC. The diNovo mini uses bluetooth and works up to 30 feet away from the PC. The battery life has been exceptional, I haven't had to recharge it yet and I've had it for over a month now. Being able to switch between modes with the pad has been great. Makes using Media Center a breeze. I would highly recommend this remote for anyone putting together an HTPC. Love it!
