Digital camera reviews of Logitech mm22 Portable Speakers for iPodDigital camera Review: DOESN'T CHARGE iPOD (but otherwise good) Summary: 4 Stars
I just got the Logitech MM22 Speakers yesterday. They put off excellent sound. Also, they're compatible with any device that has a headphone line-out.
However, I wish I had read more carefully before I purchased because I didn't realize that the set doesn't have a dock connector (as some of the more expensive speaker sets do). You can still charge your iPod, but it involves supplying your own charge cord and would also require an additional outlet (or a nearby USB/firewire port on a computer). Also, the speakers aren't terribly sturdy; the iPod shakes around a lot in it if you move it.
Still, I'd recommend the MM22 to anyone who needs something to tide them over until they can get the really nice Bose dock.
Digital camera Review: Darn good for the price Summary: 4 Stars
If you want to ditch the headphones for awhile, you can't go wrong with these. Sound quality is quite good and completely adequate - although if you are a 'persnickety' audiophile, don't expect miracles.
My only caveat is this: the metal loop stand can too easily fold up on you and when you pick them up to move them, be careful not to put your thumb through the speaker cone.
By the way, I use them for my iAudio X5 so they are not just for the iPods.
Digital camera Review: Decent product Summary: 4 Stars
I bought these about a month ago so that I could have speakers to listen to audiobooks in the bath.
These are good SMALL speakers. You're not buying a Bose system here, so don't expect that kind of power. What they are, however, are very nice small speakers that do the job when you're watching a movie on your laptop or are tired of earphones. I can hear the sound just fine over running water or the sound of my sewing machine.
I like the gadgety design and the fact that you can use them with batteries if you want to be a bit more portable.
I do wish they'd charge the iPod though.
Digital camera Review: Doesn't Fit Summary: 2 Stars
The whole set up is nice, however I just bought my wife a Ipod 60G and it doesn't really fit into the clip. It's very snug and I'm waiting for it to crack and break. Already looking for other speaker systems. But no complaints with the speaker output.
Digital camera Review: Doing just what they're supposed to! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought these for Christmas for my 14-year-old daughter and her iPod. She wanted something to use in her room. (I agree with others' comments: these speakers aren't powerful enough for a loud room or a party.) The sound is really great, especially considering the speakers' size and portability. The differing equalizer settings on the iPod come out clearly and beautifully on these speakers. My daughter's only complaint is that the iPod doesn't recharge while it's connected to the speakers. I knew that when I ordered them, but I appreciated others' comments and the price too much to pass them up. I'm not disappointed.
