Digital camera Review: Fun! Don't use this on your expensive DSLR

This is a very fun accessory. It is actually the funnest thing I've bought. I love the ability to take fake double exposures at parties and all around dark places.
One thing I do have to warn you is, DO NOT USE THIS ON YOUR +$700 CAMERA
this little devil throws 250V into your camera's circuitry (which usually takes MAX 5V!) and WILL eventually fry it and fry your hot shoe. In my case, I was lucky to learn about this and opened up the colorsplash and cancel the connection. I flash it manually, but my Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF2 12 MP Micro Four-Thirds Interchangeable Lens Digital Camera with 3.0-Inch Touch-Screen LCD and 14mm f/2.5 G Aspherical Lens (White) is not taking in the 250V that this thing would feed into it.
If you really want to use this on your dslr, there is the Wein 990-560 Hot Shoe to Hot Shoe Safe Sync which can safely sync the flash with your camera.
Other than that warning, this is worth the price. You will love it.

I've had this flash for over a year now. I use it all the time and it's a lot of fun. I mostly use it with my LCA. That said, it is kind of a piece of crap. It's broken a couple times and I've had to take it apart to straighten out all the little filters when they get crunched up inside. It is currently being held together with gaffers tape.
If you just want to have some fun taking colorful film pictures out at a bar or a party or something - I would recommend the Colorsplash camera, although it will probably break, too. Just keep your receipt, most lomo products have a one year warranty. The Colorsplash camera is a lot of fun and a lot less complicated than the LCA/Colorsplash flash combo. Especially if you're drinking.

i bought this flash to take some fun photos w/ my nikon d70. it fires a lot of flash so most photos can tend to get blown out w/ color. i recently put it on my holga120n + instant back, and even though the color film is meant for the brightest of days (fp 100c), this flash can ad some clarity w/ indoor shots. highly recommended for how inexpensive it is...
