Digital camera reviews of Lowepro 3.5-Inch Navi Handheld GPS Carrying Case (Black)

Digital camera Review: Soft, cushiony case
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a great case for casually carrying small electronics. It fit my Nuvi 350 perfectly.

The neoprene padding is good for protecting against short falls and soft bumps. This is a soft case, so it takes up less room in a bag than a hard shell case. I will still use my hard shell case for vacations, but the Lowepro is my new favorite case for when I just want to throw my GPS into my bag and forget about it.

The interior of the bag is also soft, so I don't have to worry about the screen getting scratched. The top portion of the case is closed by drawstring as opposed to a zipper. This makes it easy to take the GPS in and out, but still leaves a tiny area where crumbs could enter.

Overall, I love the feel of this bag. It's soft and works well as an every day case for my GPS.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
This item arrived overnight, to my great pleasure. It's too small for my Garmin GPS Map76 CSX, GPS 12, and GPS V. But the size listed in the product description is correct so if you have an eTrex or similar sized device you should be OK. I decided to replace the bulky case I was using for my Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5K 9MP Digital Camera with 10x Wide Angle MEGA Optical Image Stabilized Zoom (Black). The camera fits perfectly along with a spare battery in battery case (thought the side battery compartment of this case goes begging.

Speaking of the battery storage space, it's a press fit for two AA batteries that are stored in vertical alignment with terminals touching. You may want to consider a piece of removable tape on the battery terminal that touches to prevent unplanned electrical interaction between the batteries.

The caribiner is a nice touch though I do not know if I would trust it with my camera or expensive GPS. It's more of a style statement than a practical fastener in my opinion.

The drawstring portion of the bag is flexible enough to allow different sized units up to a reasonable maximum.

Overall, I'm pleased with the case but would have liked to see a different way of attaching it to other luggage or maybe a belt loop sewn on.

One could intertwine the GPS lanyard with the case drawstring to tie the two though an internal loop would be a nice touch, or a pass-through opening in the case to allow the GPS lanyard to be used with the case pulled down around the GPS.

Digital camera Review: This will make sure there are no scratches on my GPS

this is almost a must have product as it protects the screens of gps devices while they are not in use. I did not have one and almost ruined a gps as the screen was accidently scratched and will never be the same. Get one Use it

Digital camera Review: Tight fit
Summary: 2 Stars

I bought this pouch for the Garmin Approach G5 GPS. It was listed as one of the frequent purchases with the GPS unit. Unfortunately, I find it a bit too small. The pictures make it look like it will hold a spare set of batteries, but the side pouch is barely able to do so.

The main section of the bag is a snug fir for the GPS unit and its belt clip. I have to remove the clip in order to put it into the pouch. If I had it to do over again, I'd get a larger bag.

Digital camera Review: Versatile case with flexible exterior
Summary: 5 Stars

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
This handy little case works well not only for your GPS, but when not used for that, can double as a digital camera case. The exterior is a flexible foamy material, so it might not protect the object inside from serious bumps the way a hard case would, but the flexible exterior is more versatile and easy to handle, carry, and pack away, so what is lost in durability is certainly gained in other areas. Nice product!
