This is a very well made product, as expected from LowePro. However, it only has one very small compartment in the lid to use for extra memory and batteries. I can only squeeze in one camera battery and two SD memory chip cases in the pouch, and that is a very tight fit. There are no other pouches for that extra filter or any other small camera accessory. Would have been nice to have designed a small pouch or compartment on the side or back as most camera bags have.Digital camera Review: Great Bag

Pros: It is a great bag. Very thick padding and material.
Fits my 40d with 70-300 IS lens (very tight fit though)
Memory card holder inside top flap.
Could easily fit 5 or 6 point and shoots by themselves.
Cons: Shoulder Strap is not padded.
Will not fit a full frame SLR (1d, 5d canon).

I use this bag for my Nikon D80 with the current 105mm lens on it. Have seen other reviews fitting the 200mm lens with this bag. This bag has enable me to carry my Nikon camera everywhere easily as I sling it around my shoulder knowing there is a good amount of padding around the bag. This case does what it's intended for very well. It's light, compact and holds my Nikon D80 and attached 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 VR lens. The build quality is excellent and the lining and padding are very nice. If you just want to carry an SLR and a large zoom lens, this is the bag for you. The price is hard to beat.
However, that said, I'm going to be looking for another bag in the near future. I have a Tamrac that holds several lenses, speedlight and an SLR, but it won't hold them all with a lens mounted. So, I was hoping this bag would be my solution to keeping a superzoom on the camera all the time. I overlooked my desire to keep a speedlight and filters handy. I use fill-flash a great deal of the time and this bag has no provision to carry one. There isn't enough extra room in the main compartment for a speedlight and the small side pouch will not comfortably hold a filter-carrier. There are no side-loops or other attachment points, just a thick belt-loop on the body-side.
I'm currently looking at the LowePro Mini-Mag as I think it might be the solution for my particular application.
