I considered buying one of these after purchasing my K1 because of a fear that my K1 might fall out of the cover that came with it. The price of one of these covers thru me tho. What i did was to spend a couple bucks on a pkg of velcro dots, like 1/2 inch round dots, and use one of these on the back of my K1 to hold it. After that, no probs. Oh, the velcro dots don't leave any residue or marks on the Kindle if you remove them. If, when the time comes to replace the K1 leather cover that came with it then I'll probably get one of these but until then why spend the $$ when the one it came with works perfectly well with the additon of a 1/2" velcro dot ?

This cover looked great and the product info said it would take 3 weeks to ship. I hadn't even ordered the Kindle yet. This cover came within 8 days. Now, I either need to order the kindle or slap my current paperback inside of this thing because it smells like a new fine leather purse and it looks terrific!Digital camera Review: Just what I was looking for

This is so much better than the cover that came with my Kindle 1. I no longer worry about my Kindle falling out onto the floor as happened before. My stock cover also had the irritating habit of occasionally pulling off the back cover of the Kindle when handled in certain ways. That is no longer an issue. The SD card and pen holders are really useful features. My only (small) issue is that since the case holds the Kindle in place so tightly, which of course is a good thing, it can be difficult to access the power and wireless switches. Since the arrival of the Kindle 2 the price of this Kindle 1 cover has dropped dramatically thus making it even more worth a look. Digital camera Review: Not for Kindle 2

For those of you who gave this product a lousy review because you bought it for the Kindle 2 might want to take a closer look at the product description next time. It clearly states that it is designed for the Kindle 1 and clearly has a Kindle 1 and NOT a Kindle 2 in all the pictures.Digital camera Review: Didn't fit

I purchased this item for my Kindle 2. I was very disappointed when I got it. It was too small for the Kindle. Only one of the corner holders fit properly. Of the other 3, one was too big. One was too small. The Kindle itself stuck out of the top of the holder about 3/8 of an inch. This may not seem like much, but there was no protection for the top of the Kindle. I returned it.
