This charger works just the way it was intended. There is no surprise here. All you see, is all you get. There is no other cords, or wires that come with this product. This works well with our ipods and itouch and at much better price than the Apple brand charger. But FYI...I saw a charge similar to this but smaller in size at Academy (a sporting goods store) today for under $10 - cheaper even but don't know if it works ok or not though.Digital camera Review: Why Pay More

Does exactly what you need - charges the iPOD. Its cheaper than Apple version. It solidly built - seems to me to be the same thing. We have three iPODs from 3 generations and it worked on 4-6th with no problem. Kids threw it in the travel bag with other accessories and its worked unscathed since.Digital camera Review: darn

I bought this for my iPod Touch 4th Generation. It worked for about two weeks at which point my iPod started telling me that the accessory wasn't supported by the device. It's now sitting in a drawer somewhere, unused.
I'm sure this is a nice product in general, but not for my iPod Touch 4th Gen. :/ Waste of money.
