Digital camera Review: Great Product but out of date!

I purchased this product factory refurbished from Newegg just over 2 weeks ago and haven't had any troubles out of it yet. The unit came with a 30 day not refundable return warranty from newegg and a 90 day factory warranty. I can say this is a good unit as far as the User Interface is concerned.
When I got the unit it had outdated software on it (4.6). The newest firmware out was 4.86. I had no trouble downloading and installing the newest firmware available.
My biggest concern with this unit is the outdated maps. The manufacture date had October of 2007 so I assume that's the latest maps it has on it. I have found several POI's and addresses the unit does not have and cannot find.
Unfortunately with Magellan, you have to buy the map updates which are rather pricy (79.99-99.99). If you buy the unit brand new, it comes with a 30 day map warranty from Magellan. This means if they come out with a map update within 30 days of the purchase, you can fax in or mail in a copy of your receipt and receive the map update for free! Wish I would have known this whenever I purchased the product refurbished.
Overall, good unit. Very minor scuffs and scratches as I would expect from a refurbished unit as well as outdated maps and software. I would recommend only if you're prepared to pay to update the maps or travel to OLD places!
