Did a lot of online research and reading of reviews and was apprehensive about buying a refurb unit,but just couldn't afford a unit of this quality and features new.
So far,(knock on wood)I'm very happy with the 4250 and it works great,for the price u just can't beat the features and extras it has.

These units are refurbished by a third party, when it arrived none of the maps where downloaded for the 1st 48 states in the USA, this was a problem living in Indiana. After spending more then a hour with customer service I had to mail it back to the company at my expense ( even though their is a 90 day warranty)to download the correct maps. I received it back about 10 days later and it is working fine so far. After this I would think twice before buying a "Factory Refurbished" anything again. Digital camera Review: Magellan Maestro 4250

I purchased a refurbished Magellan Maestro 4250 and was very surprised with the quality. Everything was in perfect condition, with all connectors, paperwork, and instruction disc. The function of this item is easy to manage, and will save me a lot of time from not getting lost. I love going to estate sales or garage sales, and by setting up addresses in advance I save time and money. The display is awesome, and the voice is clear enough and gives fair warning before a turn is coming up.
