Digital camera reviews of Marware Sportsuit Sensor Case for Nike + iPod Sport Kit for iPod nano 3G (Black)Digital camera Review: Great kit, but a couple minor flaws . . . Summary: 4 Stars
First off, make sure you just buy this and not an additional Sport Pouch. My armband came with the pouch but I also bought a second one not knowing this. As for accuracy, it works fine, provided you put the sensor in correctly.
When I first purchased the Nike+ for my iPod, I bought the Nike brand armband. I quickly realized I didn't like it's lack of a window to view the Nano's display. I purchased the Marware Sport kit and it's been great. I only found two flaws with this:
1) Unlike Nike's armband, there is no tactile button where the Nano's center button is, so you have to look over at your arm to press it for in-run stats.
2) As I also use my iPod in my car, I'm frequently taking it out of the armband and putting it back in. The kit securely holds the nano, which is great, but some sort of quicker access (like a velcro flap or snap at the bottom) would be convenient.
All in all, this piece is great for exercise!
Digital camera Review: Great product Summary: 5 Stars
I love this product for my Nike/Ipod sensor. I have used several different things for my sensor, and this is by far my favorite. I don't use the same shoes for every run and this makes it easy to switch.
Digital camera Review: Great product Summary: 5 Stars
I use the sensor case with a pair of Asics Kayanos and I absolutely love it! The sensor fits in the case snugly, and I have no concerns whatsoever about the sensor falling off, incurring damage or getting lost. Like another reviewer said, keep it as far down on the laces as possible and make sure its velcroed on tightly for most accurate results.
(As a side note to this, even calibrated, my sport kit has never been 100% accurate, and this is just the nature of the device. It measures impact, so if your stride changes a little, or the sensor's not on tight, your sport kit might be a little off. Mine is always very close, which is as much as I think you can ask for.)
The only negative about the sensor case is that, when left on the shoe, it does make it just a wee bit harder to tighten the bottom laces, which is important for both running comfort and accurate metrics. I can't take any stars off for that, however. It's only a little extra effort to work the laces with the case on, and it's easy enough to take off, if needed. Overall, the reward of using the sport kit with my Kayanos is more than worth it!
Digital camera Review: Great product for non-Nike+ shoes Summary: 5 Stars
This cool little product will allow you to experience the full benefits of Nike+ without having Nike+ shoes.
I have used this strap for over a month now without any problems. The construction of the strap is good and it is easy to use.
I highly recommend this product.
Digital camera Review: Great product for under $10 Summary: 5 Stars
I didn't have the nike+ shoes that have room for the sensor so I bought this case. I don't have any problems with it whatsoever. Just strap it tightly to your shoe and take off for your run!
