Digital camera reviews of Maxell DVD-LC DVD Lens Cleaner (Blue)

Digital camera Review: Can't find anything that will read it
Summary: 1 Stars

I've tried this cleaner in everything that I can put it into in my house (2 DVD players, 2 CD players, and 2 DVDrom drives on the computer)and haven't had anything read it yet. It either says "NO DISC" or just keeps spinning trying to read it. Sure will be easy to return I hope.

Digital camera Review: DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!
Summary: 1 Stars

This DVD "Cleaner" does not work. It will not play, it just hangs, and it can damage your unit. There is no phone number to call. It is outrageous that this company thinks it can get away with this. I will never again buy any product affiliated with Maxell in any way.

Digital camera Review: DVD-LC lens cleaner
Summary: 4 Stars

Easy to use. Used as directed on package. I use this as a preventative maintenance to keep my DVD player clean.

Digital camera Review: Did it's Job
Summary: 5 Stars

Had a Samsung DVD Recorder that refused to accept disks, one cleaning and it would; too bad it has other defects. (the recorder not the cleaner)

Digital camera Review: Didn't work on Philips DVD Recorder
Summary: 1 Stars

Not being sure what was going on with our Philips DVD Recorder lately - it still plays okay, skipping occasional, but the recording feature has become utterly useless - I tried this product last week. It just has a small bristle on the DVD apparently to clean dust. Cleaned it multiple times. It didn't do a thing.

I finally found a page on the badly written non-indexed manual of our recorder that says because of the high power used by the laser in the recorder, disc cleaners are a no no. You may want to refer to your manual before buying this cleaner.
