It showed up fast....I charged it till the green light came on and even left it overnight just to make sure. The battery ran out quickly the very next day...after about 45 min. I bought this with my SD960IS to give me a "charger" while I had one battery in the camera. I read the reviews of some saying it was as good as the Canon and others saying it wouldn't hold a charge. I love a bargain so I took the gamble. Even at less than $10, this item is NOT worth it. My Canon battery charged and worked for several days. At the end I was zooming in and out and playing video trying to get the battery to die so I could try this battery. The Canon lasted long after the battery warning came on. This battery charged for those several days, but after a few photos started to flash low battery warnings. I never even got the chance to try video on it. If you're at an event, this would give you about 45minutes of life. No problem if you are at home and have your second battery charging- it will get you through the gap. But if you're away from a charging place, say out and about on vacation, this battery does not fill the bill. I'm really disappointed and wished I had put the money towards a Canon battery equal to the one that came with the camera.Digital camera Review: Surprised

I had to get a replacement for my 7 year old's Canon digital camera. I got it for myself about 2.5 years ago, replaced it with a Sony last year, and the battery finally wasn't doing a good job anymore holding a charge.
So came on Amazon here, searched, and saw the mixed reviews, but figured for me even if it didn't last as long as the original, since I only let him use this at home (he can't take it with him anywhere), at least I'd have two batteries to work through.
Surprisingly enough, it holds a charge for him very well. It's been too long to remember how long I was able to go on the Canon battery when it was new, but He's gone through a ton of photos, and a lot of them using flash since it's indoors, and this has held up as well as anything I recall from when I first got the camera.
For this price, unbeatable. We can do our "camera wars" again where we run around the house shooting each other with cameras, then laugh our butts off at the photos afterwards.
