Hate to miss a shot at an event because your digital camera battery goes dead.If you use flash and zoom a lot these digital camera batteries lose power very quickly. That's why do as the pros due and carry one or two fully charged backup batteries. If the Crazy High prices the Camera manufacturers charge has kept you from doing so, grab some of these Maximal Power Replacement Li-Ion batteries. Holds charge just as long as my Canon original does. Why pay $40.00 or more when you can get these for around 10 bucks. I'm going to order some more. Seems to be a good replacement for the lithium battery used by the Canon SD780 IS pocket camera. I bought two of them that I keep charged as extra spares for the OEM Canon battery that came with the camera. I never run out of electrical juice, and use the camera freely, knowing I have spare backup batteries to keep the camera going. If $35 seems too much for a Canon battery, buy it anyway. This cheap battery pack is a poor replacement for the battery made by Canon, and it shows. After fully recharging it, it lasts about 10 minutes shooting HD video before shutting off. I installed the CHDK firmware to check the battery level more accurately, and noted that the battery level dropped about 1-2% every second. As part of a way to evaluate these (after charging) I just set up the Canon TX-1 hybrid camcorder/camera to record, autofocus on with auto white balance.
36 minutes, 17 seconds later, my TX-1 stopped recording, saved the video, and shut off.
