Digital camera reviews of Maxxum Swiss Gear by Wenger Notebook Backpack - BlueDigital camera Review: Durable, Spacious, Comfortable Bag Summary: 5 Stars
Yes. the adjectives above best describe this bag.
I have had this bag for more than two years now. It is extremely roomy. I have carried two laptops in the padded area. One Macbook 17" PRO and a 15.4" IBM Thinkpad! Not a problem at all.
The front compartment is simply inexhaustible. I can put a change of clothes and toiletries and it still has enough space to hold a couple of laptop cords. The side compartments hold more cables. The ipod compartment on top is very handy for your music, change, phone etc. There are two zipped pouches within your compartments for holding more cords. You have two additional side netted enclosures for stuff like bottles etc. (tho they are not roomy enough for all but the most thin water bottles) And this bag is still not done! I have space to keep business cards, CDs, pencils and pens etc in the front pouch and a couple of books in the open pouch. It is incredible how much you can carry and yet you can manage quite comfortably if you can handle the weight. It distributes the weight well too.
I have loaded this baby up with a lot of stuff on multiple trips. I have taken it across airports, muddy roads and even dropped it a couple of times with no impact on either the bag or its contents. It is the best. Just go and get it.
Digital camera Review: Excellent Bag!!!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this bag to replace the laptop bag I was using to carry my 15" Macbook Pro. The bag I had was fine, but it couldn't hold much of anything else after I put the laptop and hard drive and charger in the computer section of the bag. Forget about carrying any books for school along with my laptop. I needed a bigger bag. I needed something that would carry my books, my water bottle, my laptop, my hard drive, and anything else I may need on my days out to school and work,on top of my ipod, schoolbooks, and 3 ring binder. This laptop fit the bill perfectly. When I fill it up and fasten the chest strap, the backpack sits just right on my back. It is sturdily built, It has plenty of pockets, and it puts everything where it is supposed to be. I will not need another backpack after this. This backpack will grow old with my kids.
Digital camera Review: Excellent Student Laptop Backpack Summary: 5 Stars
Well made and roomier than I expected. I would highly recommend as a student laptop backpack - mainly because it can accomodate laptop with accesories and some books/notebooks, etc. And, very comfortable to wear for extended periods.
Pros:
- well made
- good zippers - that's important
- solid brand - I've owned many Wenger products and they last
- nice support/suspension for laptop protection
- same kind of support neoprene "hammock" inside for your mp3 player and also has a hole at the top to feed through your headset/remote - very nice
- very comfortable back padding and strap system
- good organization pockets
- water bottle side pockets - a must for mobile phone.
Cons:
- nothing significant
- the fabric is thick but I would have preferred a thicker bottom layer in case you have to put it down somewhere wet.
- as I mentioned, I think this is better suited for students or for a weekend laptop bag. In my opinion, I wouldn't go into the office with it - my first choice in that respect continues to be the Samsonite "Business Casual" Executive Backpack. All around great bag - you can't go wrong (with either of these).
Digital camera Review: Excellent design and construction Summary: 5 Stars
I'm a computer geek and a mountaineer, and I can't find much to fault this pack for from either perspective. I particularly like the external marsupial pouch which has room for a hardcover book or three; it can also be used to stow the morning's jacket or sweater once the day warms up, without having to open the main bag.
Digital camera Review: Excellent laptop bag! Summary: 5 Stars
This bag is great and fits soooooo many things.
I have a lenovo t500, a 15.4 in laptop, and fits the bag nicely. I'm not sure why people are complaining that it doesn't fit tight but works well.
The chest strap, as other people have mentioned, does get a little annoying but not enough for me to cut it off.
There are pockets with in pockets and hidden compartments all over the bag. If you're a college student, this bag should easily fit a 30 rack and all your 420 paraphernalia, for when you're not studying hard.
Definitely recommended.
