Digital camera Review: Almost perfect inserts

I use a Mac and also use Disc Cover 2 for my insert label printing. I'm sure its a program issue but when I select the Memorex template it always prints the image too small and I have a white border. It never lines up with the spine perforations which is my biggest complaint. The spine perforations seem to be too wide so when you put it in a standard dvd case it overlaps both the front and back, bleeding the spine image. I also use Meritlines and they don't have a spine perforation and the template in the disc program always lines up.
The paper is thicker and whiter then many others out there and that is why I like the Memorex better other than the spine perforation issue.

I love these DVD case inserts! They are nicely preforated, and have lines to fold as well. I feel fancy making my own DVD cases with fancy inserts. It makes my own home movies, extra special. The first time I tried it, the artwork was a little off, but not too bad. I realized I didn't pick the right size paper in my printing preferences. Once I got that, it was easy to do. Have had a lot of trouble trying to get them to print correctly, may be my printer but it works fine for everything else?? They look very good once I finally do get everything lined up but I waste as many as I get to print right.Digital camera Review: Decline In Quality

These case inserts have always been perfectly sized for the task and print well. I have used them for years. BUT in the last couple of years, the perforations have changed. The excess areas do not tear away as easily as they used to. It takes about twice as long to tear away the excess (you have to do some pre-emptive folding on the perf line) & you are constantly fighting little pieces that make the edges ragged. This is based on several purchases over the course of a couple of years, not just one bad batch. I recently used an insert from an old package I found in a drawer and the "tear away" difference was very obvious. The old perf line split with just a slight tug (you did not even have to pre-fold) but it never split during printing. I stil endorse them and will keep using them, but the previous editions were of higher functional quality.
