I hate those super thin plastic cases that warp when you try to close them. Memorex cases are about the same quality as the cases you get with your movie DVDs. The plastic is high quality to include the clear cover protector. The 2 interior insert holders are well designed and the push button locking hub doesn't threaten to break every time you touch it. These are nice cases well suited for projects as well as replacing worn out cases in your existing collection.Digital camera Review: Full size DVD cases are good quality

I am a serious collector and like to keep my DVDs in pristine condition if at all possible, cases and artwork included. I usually try to buy most of my stuff brand new to ensure this (which admittedly can be an expensive habit), but some titles do go out of print, in which case I'll buy a used copy here on Amazon. A lot of sellers though seem to grade the disc only and not the whole package when describing a DVD's condition, which I find to be a faulty and unthorough practice. These Memorex replacement DVD cases are wonderful for that, for when you buy a used DVD with a case that is blemished and worn and therefore ugly from 5+ years of heavy handling and use. You just pop the disc, artwork sheet and/or inner insert page into one of these and voila! -- you've got something that looks brand new again. Or, as others here have previously offered, sometimes removing the label stickers from even brand new, just-bought DVDs can leave behind an unsightly sticky residue that takes away from the beauty of the whole thing. These cases come in very handy in times like that also. I'll add that the paper cover sheets of your DVDs are very easy to slip into the plastic windows on the front of these cases, so there is a great ease of use.
All in all, these cases can restore something that is old to looking brand new again. That's no small feat. Highly recommended to those as obsessed about the condition of their treasured DVD collection as I am.

These cases are similar quality to what you find on DVD's you purchase at the store. The clear film on the outside is slightly thinner, as is the black plastic the case is made of. However, overall, for the price, they are good cases and I'd recommend them to friends and family looking for cheap DVD cases like I was.Digital camera Review: Good to have on hand
