We buy these because the price is low and you get 50 cd's in a pack. This is handy for backing up the PC (uh, when DID you last back up YOUR data?)
You can put pictures, files, music on these cds. We use them just for data backup, and use Fellowes software and labels to make custom labels with contents. These are filed in an album and it's easy to reload or retrieve data in this manner. We have not had any problem writing or reading these cds.

Well, until now, I haven't had any issues with the Memorex CDs I have burned. I keep the recorded CDs in a case, where every CD has its own storage area (meaning they do not touch each other).
I also try not to scratch my CDs and take good care of them. CDs that I burned about one year ago are still fine.

Check Your Hardware Capability. Memorex will not burn perfectly unless you have a drive that burns them properly. I have heard that Lite-On burners have some problems with Memorex. I have burned at least 1500 CD-R's (all Memorex) and never one problem with my Sony burner. Also, you must store them properly to ensure a long life for your disks. I have some that are 5 or more years old and they play as good as the day I burned them. At 20 cents a disk how can you go wrong. I also always recommend to all my friends to burn at a slower speed. The best things come to those who wait. Nero is also the best software to burn any type of media.Digital camera Review: Comparibly priced

This unit of recordable cds is priced right around what you find in the stores, however, I lumped it in with other items and the shipping was free so I count myself ahead due to the high cost in gas. I would have used about $4.00 minimum in gas to purchase them at a local store.
So far I've recored on some and the quality is fine.
