Digital camera Review: Big Disappointment by this Manufacturer.

I have been buying Memorex DVD blank media for a long time. Never had any problem until recently when I purchased this Memorex DVD+R dual layer 50 Pk Spindle. I was so confident that this was the best blank media that money can buy..boy was I wrong.
It seems that DVD+R dual layer blank media is good for recording data only. I am a huge collector of movies and concert shows and when I inserted a few of these blank disks into my Panasonic dvd recorder I got nothing but error messages saying "There might be a problem with this disk, etc." and thus, I had to proceed with instructions to make this disk functionable. Some worked and others failed. Out of 50 blank disks I have only 5 that are working so far. Can you imagine going through this process to get one of these disks to work before the start of a movie.
I tried to get a refund from the seller I purchased these disks from and was told that I had to contact the manufacturer. Sorry, No Refund!!
Memorex DVD-Rs do work very well in my Panasonic DVD recorder however, but this experience has forced me to seek another brand which I will eventually purchase in the future.
Could be I had a bad batch. But what a price I had to pay.

I've tried dozens of these to record video on both the Mac and PC platform, and with an external firewire Samsung drive (with latest firmware). During playback on a DVD player, tested on several different ones, the video skips, stops, or is unreadable, usually about halfway through. There is no difference what OS, writer drive, burning software, or speed at recording. It seems that with any system the second layer is unreliable and not playable in a DVD player. I still have about half of these disks left and I haven't found a use for them, since they seem to be rather useless for 8GB video projects.Digital camera Review: Blank DVD's

I really should have listened to the other reviews. This is a defective product. I tried everything (new DVD drivers, different software, slow speeds, etc.) My DVD burner does just fine with other Dual Layer DVD+R discs. Oh well, let's hope Amazon lets me return the ones I didn't waste my time on. DO NOT BUY THESE DISCS!!!!!
