Completely unacceptable performance from a brand name I used to trust. Maybe it was a bad batch (batch number J6-08D02505301071A08)? Save your money, for DVD dual layer back-up, these discs are not working, using a new Sony DRX-820ULT Dual Layer burner and Nero Burning ROM SE 6.6 which came bundled with the burner. The disc back-ups burn completely and "successfully" according to the software, but when you put them in a player to view, the video stutters and skips and freezes. I would first like to say I have been recording, editing, creating dvd and cd's for 6 years, I have used every program and burner imaginable. I build PCs for a living, also make backups of the dvd's we own for my wife as our
son likes to get hold of the originals.
I have tried these discs on 4 burners in 2 different computers, and tried the results in no less that 7 dvd players (which include an xbox, a portable, an xbox 360, a pioneer, philips, apex, sony dvd players) these
discs work in nothing.It is NOT a booktype issue, its simply these discs are no good!
All the discs are coasters no matter what program I use or dvd burner I use to create the media image.
I have NEVER come across this EVER. I am VERY experienced in the creating of dvd and dvd backups
these discs are by far the worst I have ever used

Having complained about these discs, Amazon were kind enough to send a replacement. I have managed to burn about 40% of the replacements succesfully, but they still dont warrant higher than a 2 star rating. The inconsistency of these discs is a huge problem. If you want +R DL media, stick with verbatim.

Even at this price (...),this is 5x the price per GB as single layer disks after rebate. When will those who set the prices recognize these WOULD sell like hot cakes if you bring them in line with normal storage prices! And they can even tack on an additional something small for the convenience but 5x the price -anyone would have to be crazy to buy these, unless they just had to - and that's all they are selling to is those who absolutely must buy them - a small pittance of the market! We all have dual layer burners now for a long time and we can't even use them, since its no where near cost effective.
