Digital camera Review: Audio CD only, no video DVD encoding.

This wouldnt play at all in my DVD player, the menu never came up and it wouldnt even detect as an audio CD for some reason. It did, however, work great with my CD player and even allowed to find out my speakers were out of phase which I easily corrected by reversing the positive and negative leads for one of the speakers.I'll be looking for another cleaner for my DVD player as this one seems to be made more for audio and has no video features as far as I could find.

Memorex CD/DVD-Player Laser-Lens CleanerOur DVD kept stopping in the middle of a movie and would not continue playing. It is a year and a half old Panasonic VCR DVD Player. We were about to give up and thought as a last effort to buy the cleaner. It would not play in the player and kept giving the message "Cannot read DVD". So I tried it in our DVD Surround system and it worked great! Then I tried it in the DVD MANY MORE times and kept getting the same message. I went to the product reviews on Amazon and someone said that they experienced the same problem with the error message but they felt that even though they were getting the "cannot read DVD" message,it was still cleaning the DVD player. So I ran it through two more times and it fixed the problem. Our DVD is fixed! The cleaner never did the whole process but it worked anyhow.Digital camera Review: Beware!

I would have ranked this product with zero stars if that had been possible.
If you are thinking of buying this product to clean the CD/DVD drive on a computer, do not buy this product.
Although the packaging says that the product can be used on a computer, it cannot.
Memorex "customer service" began by stating that the product was for a CD/
DVD player only. When I pointed out that the item was labeled for computer CD/DVD drives, they said the disk must be defective and offered to send a replacement. The replacement disk was a completely different item and of course, was not labeled for computer drive use.
Do yourself a favor -- take your business to a reputable company and give Memorex a pass.

It is a very practical to use, the results are noticeable in addition whith the price. It did a good job on most of my equipment but one DVD, otherwise I will recommend it very much.
