Digital camera reviews of Microsoft 15.6" Neoprene Laptop SleeveDigital camera Review: A good sleeve for my 15.6" laptop Summary: 5 Stars
This just fits my Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop, which has a 15.6" screeen and dimensions of 14.7" x 9.6" x 1.7" (tapered to 1.0"). That's a relatively wide laptop; if it were any wider, the zipper would probably be strained. I would guess the sleeve could hold a laptop up to 14.7" x 10.4" x 1.8", but that's just an estimate as I haven't tried anything larger than mine. I can even fit my power adapter and laptop mouse in the sleeve, but just barely.
Bottom line: this is a lightweight, attractive, inexpensive, functional sleeve that will reasonably protect your laptop, as long as you don't need to carry anything else significant in it.
Digital camera Review: A pretty good case Summary: 4 Stars
The product was as described and therefore I am happy with it. The case looks nice and functions well. Nothing to complain about.
Digital camera Review: Awesome mancase Summary: 5 Stars
There's not really any need to do any in-depth reviews on this case given the hundreds of already positive review. However, I do want to point out some of the more technical aspects of this case since there are very few actual size measurements given out. According to Microsoft's (Samsill) laptop measurements provided by a tag on the sleeve - 14.5 x 12.0 x 1.25.
Despite their official measurements, it's pretty much wrong with the exception of the depth.
My HP DV6T Select Edition measures almost 15" wide (14.88") and it fits snugly enough without being too tight, making it possible to fit something here measuring up to almost 15" wide. The height - while my laptop is pretty slim, it measures up to 1.3" thick at its thickest portion. It's not too far from the official measurements, but it's far from being tight enough. Though I did attempt to stick in a 2004 Sony Vaio that was a whopping 2+" thick and it somehow managed to fit, though I couldn't zipper it mainly because the thickest portion was something in excess of 2.something inch. So if your laptop's not super fat, it should fit just fine in here (1.5-1.75"~ max).
As for depth, my laptops only 9-10" in depth so I have something like 2 extra inches of clearance, though I'm guessing that 12" sounds about right.
Digital camera Review: Carrying straps, good padding, but no extra room Summary: 4 Stars
This is a great laptop carrying case if you don't need anything else to accompany your laptop (such as a power cord). There is room for the laptop, but almost nothing else will fit in the case. One great feature is the carrying straps. These make the case almost like a little bag (but not gender specific) that you can carry with you.
Digital camera Review: Definitely Lightweight Summary: 3 Stars
I was looking for a lightweight case to lug my laptop back & forth to work everyday and this definitely fits the bill...it's very light and fits my laptop perfectly. My laptop requires a battery pack for use when I'm out of the office and there's enough room to squeeze that in there as well. The only feature I wish it had was a removable shoulder strap. It's a great case for the money!
Sturdy, attractive, protective and lightweight. It was everything I was looking for!
