Digital camera reviews of Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000Digital camera Review: Almost perfect mouse Summary: 4 Stars
I like this mouse because it is a [good] Bluetooth notebook mouse, which are few and far between. It's small size makes it convenient to transport with my laptop, which is important for those who are always moving. And being that it's a laser mouse, it works flawlessly on many surfaces, including my carpet and even my lap, which adds to the on-the-go convenience this device offers.
Since it's Bluetooth and my notbook has Bluetooth connectivity, there is nothing to attach to the notbook itself, such as a USB adapter that would be required of other types of wireless devices. The Bluetooth communication also works at great distances from the computer, such as across the room, which allows for remote-like usage when doing things such as listening to music or watching a movie.
A few flaws that I've encountered with this purchase would not have stopped me from buying it had I known about them beforehand. First, the wheel is not as fluent as I'd like, which is only a very small annoyance. Second, the third button on the left side was easy to accidently press with my thumb, acting as a 'back' button when navigating websites. Although this was annoying at first, I was able to slightly adapt the way I hold the mouse and it is rarely an issue anymore.
Considering the price, size, and ease of use, I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a simple and portable Bluetooth solution.
Digital camera Review: Almost, but not quite... Summary: 4 Stars
I've been using this mouse for a few weeks with my MacBook Pro and overall I'd say it's pretty good. My only complaint is in the scrolling, which isn't quite as nice the wireless Mighty Mouse. With the little trackball on the Mighty Mouse you have more freedom to scroll in 360 degrees, no way is that possible with this mouse, which just scrolls up and down. It would really be useful to be able to scroll sideways at least. Also, the bluetooth doesn't connect automatically; you have to click a couple of times before the computer 'sees' it.
Everything else being equal, I would just as soon have the Mighty Mouse. The only real problem with the Mighty Mouse (in my opinion) is the occasional cleaning of the trackball. It's not easy to clean and can be very frustrating.
Digital camera Review: Amazing bluetooth mouse for Windows and OSX Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this mouse after my previous bluetooth mouse died on me. The performance of this mouse has been simply amazing. The precision on the mouse is very good, although in OSX on my MacBook I have to turn the speed of the pointer down because it moves much faster than the built in mouse pad. Connecting this to a system is fairly simple and I have not had many problems with dropout of the signal, aside from one dropout in Windows 7 Beta (which could be just a software glitch). The only thing I could see being a problem for some people would be the size, as it is small. I find it to be comfortable myself, although some might find it to be too small. I also wish it had a charger, but I will take good performance over that any day.

Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 Mac/Win
I wanted a mouse that didn't use up a port on my Macbook Pro, was accurate and efficient and easy to use, and just the right size - I'm a small woman but still want usability (I don't want to feel like I'm chasing the mouse around). This mouse is great, and works perfectly for what I need.
Digital camera Review: Amazon Bluetooth Mouse Summary: 5 Stars
Got this mouse, because the last laptop mouse required a USB plug, and it was causing my wife problems. She kept forgetting to withdraw the plug from the bottom of the mouse and insert it into the laptop. This one, all that is required, is to turn on the mouse and it connects via bluetooth, no USB stub sticking out of the laptop.
It set up very easily with my Dell laptop.
The only negative thing I would say is that the packaging is very confusing. When you look at the package it appears to be a mouse for a Mac, but in smaller sized print it says-"Universal", so I gave it a try and it works just fine. But I did have a few moments of concern where I thought maybe I had ordered the wrong item.
