I wanted a keyboard with a USB hookup that wasn't too expensive. I bought this one based upon the reviews, and let me say, they are ALL true. This keyboard is great. It's not too loud, is comfortable to type on (the keys really feel "soft"), and it has a lot of nice features. It looks nice too! The zoom feature works in Picasa (what I use for my pics) and even lets you switch from picture to picture if you're zoomed all the way out in a pic. I hooked up my Digsby to work with the "messenger" shortcut, picked Chrome for my internet shortcut, and gmail for my email shortcut. Easy to do, and intuitive. Works great, install the CD to be able to add your shortcuts. I connected keyboard before installing and nothing bad happened (even though it said to install first). I just bought this keyboard this weekend from Staples and it is awesome. The keys are very quiet compared to other keyboards and it has several features that are easy to set up and use. For example, it has a zoom bar on the left hand side so you can zoom in/out of pictures you are viewing. It can also be used when you are on a webpage to increase or decrease the font size. So if you are viewing a sight with the text too small, just push it forward a few times- the text gets bigger! It has favorite shortcut keys, media player buttons, and shortcuts for my docs, my pics, my music, mail, the internet, and your messenger choice. It also has a shortcut for the calculator, logoff, and sleep mode. It doesn't mtake much to open those programs up but it's just neat that you can press one button and it pops up just like that.
This keyboard is also good for beginners or older generations that didn't grow up with computers. It has helpful words under some of the keys that give you a hint of how to cut/copy/paste text and also how to bold, underline, and italicize your text.
The keyboard is definitely worth the money and as far as I've seen Amazon has the best price- and you come on, you can't beat the free shipping. Everyone should really be replacing their keyboard at least every year (a personal keyboard has more bad bacteria on it than what's on your toilet!) and this one is a great choice. I highly recommend it!
