Digital camera reviews of Microsoft Digital Media Pro Keyboard

Digital camera Review: Excellent but not perfect
Summary: 4 Stars

In terms of typing on this keyboard, it is in fact fantastic, just as everyone else has said. It seems impossible for a "soft" keyboard to be this good, but it makes you feel more confident and quick. I miss it when I'm at work. The down side is that all the fancy buttons and sliders are not very versatile--they were obviously meant to work with one Microsoft product and you really can't change them a lot. For example, I'd like the "my documents" button to link to the folder on my network drive, but so far I can't figure out how to make it do anything other than its pre-programmed function. It is oriented toward Microsoft Office. Certain keyboard shortcuts can be difficult to figure out because of the F Lock that must be enabled (the makers seem to assume, rightly so, that most of us don't know and wouldn't use keyboard shortcuts). But it is absolute heaven to type on.

Digital camera Review: Excellent! But wireless would be better.
Summary: 4 Stars

Great keyboard. Media keys are nice. Zoom feature is cool. Shortcut keys helpful. Only thing better would be wireless. Not bad though.

Digital camera Review: Fairly decent
Summary: 4 Stars

Out of the many, many keyboards out there, this is one is actually decent. I'd been using Dell's standard k/b that came with most of their machines. Works fine, but too noisy.

I've tried Logitech and various other wired/wireless ergonomic keyboards (Microsoft included), but couldn't get used to the flat, compact design -- the keys all close together. And I hated the 'wave' design on some. Not for me.

This one's not pretty and it's kinda dated, but it's quiet and the keys are like my Dell k/b -- spaced out just right. I'll probably never use half the features, but for basic typing for normal-sized hands, it's not bad at all.

Digital camera Review: Fantastic Digital Keyboard !

Greatest Ever! Everything You Need is There!Wouldn't Buy any
other kind!

Digital camera Review: Flintstones appearance, Jetsons performance
Summary: 4 Stars

If you remember when desktop PC keyboards were big and responded to keypresses with 'clicks' you could hear and feel, this ugly-duckling keyboard will please your fingers, if not your eyes. It has long-throw keyswitches with crisp tactile feedback.

I've had 3 PCs with 'multimedia keyboards' but this is the first one on which I actually use many of those extra buttons. The IntelliType software shares a macro editor with MS IntelliPoint, so you can be much more productive when your work requires repetitive tasks.
