My daughter moved to England for a few months, and we're keeping two of her dogs for her. She told us about Skype, so my wife and I each bought one of these combination mic/web cameras for our desktop computers. We installed the software quickly, plugged the units into our USB ports, and viola! Instantly we were sharing an online video call with my daughter so she could see and "talk to" her two Shih-Tsu pups! Is it "high definition" quality. Not even close. Is it perfectly adequate for video phone calls. Absolutely. Great little product. Easy to use, excellent sound quality, and we're thrilled with ours. I bought this because of the great price, good name and good reviews---It really lived up to all expectations. The picture is clear and it has a focus feature so you can clarify the image if its blurry, I use it with skyp and it has great video and the mic picks up sound very well, its sharp and clear. it also sits nicely on top of my flat screen, out of the way. installation was quick and easy, totally no complaints, works perfectlyDigital camera Review: Good

I would say this web cam as average quality. It works well with my window xp, not a problem at all. If you one a decent quality web cam with a limited budget, I recommend this One. I just set up this cam today and have used it to video call my family in another state. The resolution could be better, but for the 20 bucks I spent on it, I won't complain. I'm very happy with it. You don't have to use the software that comes with it either, I downloaded skype and am happy with that too.
