I purchased this camera to chat with my granchildren who are a 1000 miles away.
The Web Cam was easy to install, and the picture and video are crisp. I would recommend this camera to "us older" gang who are challenged when it come to these types of computer items.
I can now visit my grandchildren anytime I want, thanks to this Microsoft Lifecam.
A great buy and a better investment.

I was pleasantly surprised after connecting this webcam (installation was a cinch, unlike another I tried). My computer is no spring chicken and my video card would win no races at Aqueduct. Yet, this Microsoft LiveCam performs magnificently. I would have done a video review, but I didn't want to scare half the population with my old face and big eye glasses which the camera "too accurately" reproduces - I only freak out people I know with it. Kidding aside, yes the image is great and equal to costlier units. The cam itself is small. unobtrusive and needs no adjustments. It just works and works great. I wanted to give one to Uncle Harriet, but I don't think it works with a Commodore 64, but it works fantastically with computers a few years shy of Wi Fi.This review comes from the heart, I was never invited to coffee at Bill Gates' house. Does exactly what it says it does. Well worth the price. Not the best quality video or picture but it is definitely worth its price. Extremely easy installation and user interface. This is my first web cam and I was quite pleased with the video quality and ease of installation. I installed the camera on a Windows Vista Home Premium machine and used Skype to video chat with my girlfriend while she was in Eastern Europe. She was quite happy with the resulting video quality. The integrated microphone is also a bonus.
