Digital camera Review: Does the Job at a Great Price

My brother-in-law got one of these for Christmas because a family member ordered one but uses a Mac and it doesn't work with Macintosh.
After seeing him and his kids through AIM, we decided to order one and found it on Amazon.com.
it came in the mail after about a week using the Super Saver shipping. I took it out of the box, installed the software (you have to do this first) and then the camera. It sits fine up on top of the monitor.
All in all it took maybe 10 minutes to get it set up. Then I called my brother-in-law and we were using the cameras with Windows Messenger in short order. The video and audio quality is very good. The only annoying thing is that we can hear our voices coming back through his end. He doesn't have that from our end, so we should have that figured out pretty quick. If it weren't for that, I'd give it 5 stars right away.
Today my wife was talking with her sister and I think she's going to order one of these little gems. I'd recommend it.

I tried it on 2 computers, first time it initially worked and then stopped working and made the computer freeze. second computer, didn't install properly.
Seemed nice from the review but was a waste of time.

It worked for a while but suddenly when I wanted to make a video I would get "initializing error" in safe mode. It said I had to change the resolution settings but there was no way to access the dash board. I have uninstalled 3 times with no success! The camera works but I have to access it from my computer and I can use it only to take stills. The mic never worked because you would have to get up close to the camera to be heard! It is typical Microsoft garbage. I hear Logitech is good and inexpensive too!Digital camera Review: Don't hold your breath

I ordered this item from Amazon on August 23, 2008. It's now September 27th and the projected ship date is October 6th. Amazon has been saying on the product page "Usually ships in 7 to 9 days", but lately, no indication of delays on product page. No matter how good it is, nothing is no better than nothing!
