The LifeCam came with very good instructions and setup easily as per the instructions.
A friend of mine also got the same camera for her computer running XP and it setup in a breeze for her too. Mine is running on Vista Home Premium 64.
Camera picture quality is excellent but I do recommend having decent lighting around you or the picture will get grainy. It does have features built in for low lighting uses but they are limiting.
I use this camera with Google and Skype and it works great at both ends since my friend is using the same camera from her computer.

I sent this product to my son in college. He said installation was very easy and I have to say the picture quality is very good under just dorm room light conditions. The sound is clear though you do get feedback through the built in mic if you let your sound go through the speakers instead of putting on headphones. Video to audio sync is very good too with very little lag time. For $30-$35 this is an easy way to start testing the video conferencing experience and we are enjoying chatting this way as our standard "phone call" (for free via MSN Live Messenger)
