I am returning this webcam to Amazon since the image is horrible. I used all the features available but the image did not get better. Other than that the microphone and the software work just fine.
In order to ensure that the problem was not my computer I bought a Logitech today and the image was excelent! Do not buy this one, buy one of the logitech webcams. Mine is a Logitech QuickCamCommunicate STX and I am very happy with it...

When I first started out with webcams, I naively listened to "the experts" and got a Logitech. Everyone said Logitech produced the best webcams, and so I paid $40 for a webcam that isn't worth $5 IMHO.
Get that? I paid more for my first webcam than for this one, and this one is at least 4 times better. Oh, and this one actually comes with useful webcam programs and better features allowing you to really take control of your picture quality....well...as much as you can for $35...
The video quality is brilliant, and unlike Logitech, it picks up light much better than a rock at the bottom of the ocean. (that was a pun on Logitech, because their lighting technology is absolutely horrid). I can use this in the dark and still be seen, as well as in the daylight, as well as anywhere, really. The next step up is much nicer, but for $35 the VX-3000 is the best webcam you can get for the price.

Excelent webcam for the lowest price.
Good pictures (1.3MP), easy to use. I love the video effects and the automatic face tracking.
The software in the box, Microsoft LifeCam 1.4 didn`t work with windows 7, but windows update download a compatible version (3.0.215).
My daughter love it.

- SHOCKING quality / resolution - picture is crystal clear
- Fits all kinds of monitors
- Funky video effects from inside Messenger - very cool
They could produce it in nicer colors like white, blue or green...
Denitely recommend it!
