This product was affordable, yes, but very unreliable. I used AIM, and was often told about my bad picture quality. It rarely worked (with AIM), and most annoyingly was that the microphone always caused problems. I had to keep going back to the set-up to adjust the microphone so it could pick up my voice, and it was only about 6 inches away...
It may work fine with other video sharing messangers, but if you are an AIM user, this webcam is probably not for you. the only good thing was that it had nice face tracking, so I could take photos, but my personal main intrest was to vidchat.
The installation also took forever!

This webcam worked for almost a year before I had to unistall the program and then reinstall it to get the actually camera to work. Eventually, after about 9 or 10 months, it stopped working and the last time I tried to use it, it restarted my computer within seconds. When trying to use it on MSN messenger, only the sound worked, leaving the picture pure white. I do not recommend if you need a webcam for long term use over 8 or 9 months. All in all, it froze a lot and moved a bit too slow most of the time. I had to pretty much stay still for it to keep a clear picture. The picture was usually grainy no matter how much I played with the settings but the sound worked fine.
