Digital camera reviews of Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical

Digital camera Review: 3 Years of use and still working
Summary: 4 Stars

I recently bought this mouse at a store. So far I am happy with my purchase. I haven't had any of the problems that some others have had with buttons not working but if it does happen I'll update the review. I agree with one review that the cord is a bit stiff. But other than that I have no complaints. I like the size of the mouse. It's not too big or small. As far as surfaces, I just use the same mousepad I was using for the balled mice I had. It's a cloth type. My mouse moves at least as well as the balled mice I had. The table under the mousepad has a bump in it so I no longer have to worry about the ball hitting that bump. I like that I don't have to clean the ball. So bottom line, if you need a new mouse and don't want all the fancy gadgets this is a good and inexpensive option. Thank you for your time.

Edited to add: I'm back 8 months later to say that my mouse is still working just fine.

Edited to add: It's now September of 2007 and 2 years later my mouse is still working fine.

Digital camera Review: 5 Years and still going strong
Summary: 5 Stars

I've had it about 5 years so far and it's been absolutely trouble free. I currently run windows XP. I also abuse it alot (courtesy windows) and it still works great! If only Microsoft made their software as good as their mice I'd be much happier.

Digital camera Review: A Great Buy
Summary: 4 Stars

If you're looking for something better than your ordinary serial bus mouse for a very reasonable price, this is the way to go. It isn't a high-end mouse, but it has no mouse-ball to clean, and fairly precise movement, which makes this a great deal. Only drawbacks are that it's effective on only certain surfaces, primarily low-gloss surfaces, and the mouse cursor becomes spastic when the mouse is moved very quickly. If you are one to take your temper out on your mouse by slamming it on the desk, take care to avoid placing weight on the wheel-button. *grin*

Digital camera Review: A Mouse in the House...
Summary: 5 Stars

I have gone through several computer "mice". I've tried cordless and also with cords. This mouse has a nice thick cord for durability. I drag my lap top around alot and I don't always unplug my mouse and it dangles. It's lasted the longest of all that I have purchased. Definitely good quality.

Digital camera Review: A basic optical mouse
Summary: 4 Stars

This is a basic optical mouse. I have no complaints functionality-wise. It is definitely smoother than the old ball-mouse. But, somehow, I don't like the feel of it in my palm. I had gotten used to the ergonomic design of a right-handed MS intellimouse. Since this mouse is designed to be used by both right and left handed, compromises have been made on the design compared to the Intellimouse. I feel that it doesn't fit into my palm. May be it is just a matter of getting used to it, but if I had known this is going to be a misfit like this, I wouldn't have bought it.
