Digital camera Review: Does the job well

I've had this mouse for a a little less than a year and a half now and it's worked perfectly ever since. The AA battery lasts for months and it's smooth like a mouse ought to be. Cheap too; it's nothing fancy but it works like a charm.
Only flaws might be that when I move around the laptop, sometimes the mouse will lose connection and I'll have to unplug/plug back in the USB connector; when I drop it, the battery casing flies off and so do the batteries.

Because it was going to be installed on a netbook with no CD drive, I went on Microsoft's web site to see in I could get the installation software online, sure enough it was there and I downloaded it and had it installed before the mouse arrived. I've used the mouse for about one month and am highly pleased with it. It's precise and works well with my laptop. When not in use, the dongle clips onto the underside of the mouse and turns off the battery, a nice touch. It feels good to the hand. The only complaint I have is that if no windows are open (only the desktop is active) and the dongle is plugged into a USB port on the laptop, it prevents the screensaver from kicking in (Vista Premium is installed on the laptop). But if, for example, a web browser window is open the screensaver does kick in. Weird! That's not a huge deal for me. I'm very happy with this particular mouse. When reviewing the reviews, I noted that some people complained about jerkiness of the wheel and inconsistency of usage.
I had a problem at first too, but the issue was that the receiver was too far from my tower. I bought a cable, put the receiver close to my keyboard and now the mouse works perfectly.
I never saw or missed that the distance between mouse and receiver was 3 ft.
I like the size as I didn't want a big mouse. It's easy to just slide around. I highly recommend this product.
