Digital camera reviews of Mighty Bright XtraFlex2 Clip-On Light (Black, Kindle Version)Digital camera Review: "MIGHTY DIM" Summary: 1 Stars
I love my Kindle and wanted to be able to read in bed when other lights are off.
The "mighty light" simply does not work. It comes on but the light is almost blue and does not
shine bright enough to let me read at all! I gave up after trying a few times. I thought maybe
I was supposed to have to change the position constantly, but decided that certainly was not going
to be feasible. (not to mention that even in doing so, I had to strain so hard to see the print,
it wasn't worth it.) My husband has a book light that looks almost the same as mine but has one light and shines 100 times better. I have NO idea what the difference is but his you can read with and mine you cannot!
This product is NOT "mighty bright", it's MIGHTY DIM !!
Digital camera Review: ... Summary: 5 Stars
I love this light. Mostly I use it to read for just long enough to put me back to sleep when I wake up in the middle of the night. When turning the main light on and off would wake me up even more, its wonderful to have this little light conveniently nearby. I could do with an even dimmer light output option but am grateful for the one that's there.
Digital camera Review: 1 1/2 yrs and still going strong! Summary: 5 Stars
I use this every day and love it! I fasten it to the book cover to use it on my kindle. I wouldn't be able to use it without the cover. The batteries last a long time, but you do have to be careful when traveling with it. It switches on very
easily, so I simply reverse one of the batteries before packing it up. I would definitely recommend it!
Digital camera Review: 3rd Times the Charm Summary: 4 Stars
This is my 3rd booklight. There are a few reasons that I consider this the best one to date.
1. The battery situation - my other booklights required 'off-size' batteries that I just never managed to replace. Also, usually the batteries were accessed using one of those tiny screwdrivers. This light has a regular, old slideout battery case and uses 2 AA batteries (I am using rechargeable so am also being 'green')
2. The light settings. Since it has two brightness settings, I can get the amount of light that I need
3. The best flex-neck I've ever used. Maybe because my previous booklights were older, they used older technology, but this flex neck is so smooth its more like putty than metal. My only-and very minor- complaint is that if you jar the book, the light will flop to one side or the other, but since I don't read books on bumpercars, I have been okay with that.
4. I had to come back and edit this review. If you are protecting your Kindle investment with a screen protector and plan on using this light, I highly recommend that you get the anti-glare screen protector. Although I have found the perfect angles to set the light, I am sure the anti-glare screen makes using this light just that much easier
I really recommend this light and my husband borrowed mine so often that I got him his own so this review is two recommendations in one!
Digital camera Review: A Bit Disappointed Summary: 2 Stars
I purchased this little light as suggested by Amazon after my purchase of an Amazon Kindle. I use the clip-on light each night when I'm reading my Kindle. I thought it started out as a great idea, but now I find that it isn't bright enough for the darkness. I went to the optometrist, thinking it was my eyes, but after a clean bill of health at the doctor, I'm still finding it quite difficult to read at night. I do like the strong clip-on mechanism, but I can definitely see that this object was not made specifically for the Amazon Kindle and I'm a little disappointed in the outcome.
