Digital camera reviews of Mighty Bright XtraFlex2 Clip-On Light (Black, Kindle Version)Digital camera Review: A decent light, just doesn't fit my case Summary: 4 Stars
I'll start by saying I am very happy with the light itself. I have no issues with glare and it is sufficiently bright on high or low setting. Also, it takes three triple A batteries, which is great because I always have those around the house.
My only complaint, and it is not the lights fault, is that it doesn't fit the medge leather case I bought. Somehow I thought it was the one that went with the case, silly me.
Still, it works and does clip onto my case, I just can't fold it inside the case for travel, which is totally no big since it fits perfectly in my laptop bag or purse. I would still recommend this product, just get a case large enough for the base if you want an all in one travel solution.
Digital camera Review: A fine Kindle 2 accessory... Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this light along with the Kindle 2, and the leather Kindle cover (which Amazon oh-so-conveniently offered as a package deal). So far, I'm quite impressed. As other reviewers have noted, the light must be offset to avoid glare on the K2 screen, but this isn't as big a deal as it's made out to be in some of the reviews I've read. I'm also a little mystified by the reviews griping that this light blocks buttons on the K2...I swing the cover open, fold it behind the Kindle, and clip the light on to the inside of the front cover. Works great, and doesn't block one button!
I'll probably need to switch to some NiMH rechargeable batteries for it soon, since after barely a month's use I'm already on my second set of batteries. But overall I'm just pleased as punch with this little light.
Digital camera Review: A good light for reading Summary: 5 Stars
Nice book light. Has 2 settings; low and high. Does the job well.
Digital camera Review: A good light for the Kindle Summary: 4 Stars
This book light is bright enough to let you read your Kindle in bed.
There are two specific problems that keep me from giving it five stars. First, the flexible neck seems a little too loose. It needs to be a little stiffer to stay in place as you read; a little motion and it wobbles out of place.
The second problem is the power switch on the top of the light could also stand to be either stiffened up to provide more resistance or changed to a switch. On more than one occasion, I've pulled the light out of my briefcase or messenger bag to find it's been turned on accidentally. Luckily, battery life seems very good, but it would be nice if it didn't turn on quite so easily.
Other than these minor issues, the light's been great.
Digital camera Review: A great accessory for Kindle. Summary: 5 Stars
I would recommend this book light to anyone. It is easy to use and functions well.
