It was bright for the first couple of uses, about 20 seconds, then went dim. Now it's bright the first 1/2 a second or second then immediately dims when you press the button. Tried two sets of replacement batteries with the same results. The unit comes only with zinc batteries. Case differs from what's pictured. It arrived on time and apparently in good condition. However, its performance is spotty. Sometimes I will take it out of the box and it works on first press of the button. Other times I have to press it a couple of times, hold it, shake it lightly or otherwise perform voodoo to get it to light up. This does not seem right.Digital camera Review: Probably not worth it

I was looking for a laser product that was a little upscale for the quality and with a brighter image dot if possible. I did a little research and found that green lasers were brighter and in fact required for some military briefings. This product looked to be of good quality and powerful.
I didn't have an opportunity to use it right away but very recently used it for a briefing and found all the claims to be accurate. I am impressed by the quality and the brightness. Other briefers had the product and it seemed to be a favorite in our community.
