Don't waste your money. I've got this and other cables I bought off ebay for less than $10 INCLUDING shipping. I'm no videophile but honestly my other cables work just as well with NO discernible difference. Just check the feedback ratings and make sure they are over 99.5% and you'll be OK.
If you are a videophile and capable of superhuman feats of visual discrimination beyond other mere mortals such as me AND you have lots of money to waste, then by all means go out and buy this.

This is my first product from Amazon, and I am completely satisfied with it, very convenient and extremely good. Now my HDMI DVD player gives very good quality picture and the enhanced sound quality is very good. The price was much reasonable than many places.

One MIGHT argue that cable quality could affect a digital audio signal due to clock timing issues, but for video as long as the signal gets there without losing bits, all adequate cables are the same. (And I think most receivers reclock the digital audio, anyway.) As long as the cables provide enough shielding to avoid actual data loss, interference has no effect on a digital signal.
I really can't believe that fooling and lying to people has become a valid business model in this country. If you buy these cables you are being taken, plain and simple, by a company that thinks providing you with an illusion of quality is more profitable than providing you with real value. Until people become more skeptical, they are right.

I wasn't sure whether these name brand cables were any better, but at 50 percent off at Amazon, it's worth it to take the leap. The same cable at Best Buy goes for $89-$99! I have tried the cheaper cables, and maybe it's just in my head, but the picture did look A BIT granier. So, I'm happy to have bought these cables from Monster. Thanks Amazon for a great deal!
