Digital camera reviews of Monster Cable MP HTFS 500 Monster Power High Definition Video HTFS 500 PowerCenterTM 2 AC Outlets for Flat ScreensDigital camera Review: Performs as advertised Summary: 4 Stars
This item works well and gives me good peace of mind with respect to power surges and unfiltered AC power affecting my plasma display. Installation is simple and using it is trivial, truly plug and play.
The only glitch is that the adhesive for the velcro patches that secure the item to the wall are not strong enough. The optional (but included) wall mounting brackets are actually necessary to keep the item up.
Solidly recommended
Digital camera Review: Saved from the Lightning Bolt Summary: 5 Stars
The product review (and others) state that this PowerCenter aids in providing for a better picture by managing the quality of power to any HDTV. I can't refute that as my picture is amazing and have never experienced any problems with the picture due to power fluctuations.
But I am confident that this PowerCenter saved my TV from a close lightning strike as my neighbors HDTV got fried because he did not have it power protected. Based on what you probably spent on your HDTV, for the money for this unit, how can you risk not getting one?
Digital camera Review: Smaller than i thought Summary: 5 Stars
I guess it is working. I really cannot tell a different, but i am scared to plug my TV into the wall for fear of the VOLTAGE DEMON coming to get me. I like the long cord (8') and it is small enough to be mounted on the wall easily behind my LCD
Digital camera Review: Very useful! Summary: 5 Stars
This mounted perfectly behind our 52" flatscreen and has gives us peace of mind since it is a power surge protector.
Digital camera Review: Well Made with One Design Flaw Summary: 4 Stars
I have to agree with Mr. Warrington about the plug. I added a recessed plug behind my 60" plasma and I can't get the Monster Power Center plug to fit in the socket. I am going to have to remove my plasma from the wall mount and might have to change the wall outlet just to get this thing plugged in. I'm not really upset about that because I was going to take down the TV anyway to paint...but if that were not the case I would be agitated about that.
